Battery Acid Marks on paint

Hello Everyone,
Below are battery acid marks on my car's body. I took it to detailing guys they applied sand paper on one of the dots for a try and it got removed. I mean the black dot become blank. My question is it safe to use sand paper on car body paint? The black mark is removed but on specific angle you can still feel there was some dot but blur I mean not able to see with eye. They asked me that they will apply polish after it and it feels better
Please suggest should I go for it or leave as it is or any other suitable option that can be done.

It depends if you have a safe layer of paint i.e above 4 mils then 1500 grit sandpaper will not cause that much issue

And how can I know if the car has a safe layer of paint?

Once battery acid has contacted clear coat, there is no way to redo it other than to repaint the panel and actually neutralize it before that too.

I got your point. But the sand paper has made these black marks transparent and now can only be observed through a specific angle or closer look. Do you think that sandpaper will have a negative impact on car's paint? I mean what could be the impact of using sand paper later?

Sandpaper marks are nothing to concern on what will happen later on due to the acid eating the paint layers and finally rusting the metal.

This is the difference between after sandpaper and before sandpaper. Neutral one is after and black spot is before applying sandpaper.
