Battery Draining in 2+ days

have you tested the car properly? - it involves disabling the door switches and using jumper cables on the battery negative to test the total load of the car when it goes to standby and eventually to sleep.

The micu/mux/bcm takes a while to do that.

I made two videos for it - they are not the prettiest but thats my way of finding issues on all kinds of cars.

btw - 60 MA seems like the system goes to standby mode - because sleep mode is about 30 MA on almost any Honda

but I have a personal hatred towards Honda regarding their absolutely useless microscopic lawnmower/power washer batteries they install in cars, they die off pretty suddenly.

My suggestion .
Set you amp meter to 10amp.
Again attach dmm in series to positive wire of main battery.
Then tell us how much load is there.
Pls verify again although you have already done it

May b you have defective alternator or self starter.

I checked in most of the forums that 0.03A (30mA) are acceptable while parking.

but my battery is draining 0.08A (80mA). 2 fuses are responsible for this. EVEN IN SLEEP MOOD
Fuse 28 and Fuse 29.
Fuse 28 : Interior Lights
Fuse 29 : Backup

So i checked both the fuses individually....
Voltage drop at Fuse 29 : 0.1-0.2mV
Voltage drop at Fuse 28 : 0.6mV
.
Now tell me why i'm getting voltage drop of 0.6mV at fuse 28 when everything connected to it is turned off.
it means something is eating up the battery continuously.

when i start up the car, the voltage at battery terminal becomes 14.5v which means alternator is working.
And after 7 days, when i checked today, battery was fine. the indicator on battery was green (charged). because i have removed the fuse 28. Only FUSE 28.

But when the fuse 28 is in there, after 4 days the battery status turn to white (not charged). And the car self makes sound like its the last push that battery can deliver to starter.

my point is that Even 80 mA cannot empty a battery of 48amp in 2 or 4 days. Something else is consuming much more current. May b your meter fuse is blown so you are getting very low current. Spark while inserting a fuse indicate current much much more i will say more or less 1Amp. You have traced it to be fuse 28 but your current consumption is not acceptable to me.

You better verify your dmm is reading correct amps.

Well thats all i'm getting...
no voltage drop on any other fuse. checked both the fuse boxes.

when i turn off the car, in start i get the load of 0.8A. then after sometimes, a clicking sound from a relay under the hood fuse box and the Current drops to 0.4A. and after 15 minutes the load becomes 0.08A and it fluctuates between 0.08A to 0.18A. THis happens when dmm is connected in series via negative battery terminal. means total load that is being drawn by the car.

in this state i performed the voltage drop test. and i have mentioned those 2 fuses earlier which showed some change.

Here it make some sense of 180 mA which will drain battery nearly in 1 week if fully charged .

Some people have experienced same due to leaky alternator nd self motors. Alternator need 12v supply for its field winding which is supplied via a separate 2 to 4 pin connector. Remove that connector . Then check your car load may b its getting that supply all the time. and then removing main wire from aternator nd self starter step wise. Those are some points to consider along with your own direction.

This test requires the battery to have a standing voltage of above 12.4 and upto 12.6V after the car has gone to sleep and then proceed to test, you may need to install a jumper battery to find this draw.

I suspect something has been connected to that circuit like a tracker or the radar power injector itself (your security system), the backup fuse is the KAM (keep alive memory) but the interior lamp fuse is just the lamps.

Have you installed LEDs in your interior?

Best bet right now is to tear out the lower half of the dash and find the nitto ustaad works.

Alhamdulillah !!! By the Grace of Allah and my dedication to my car i finally found the snake which was causing the drain.
The pictures are attached. This was the only thing which was connected to hazards and parking lights. So i checked it and SAALY KO BAHIR NIKAL PHAINKA...

I hooked up dmm in fuse 28 socket in ampere mode and there 0.055A continuously getting out of battery all the time. then disconnected the very last thing that i didn't checked during all this process. when i disconnected the LED strip, the current draw went to zero at once..

That's LED strip that was connected with three things.

Trunk +ve wire
Brake pedal Light +ve Wire
Indicator +ve Wire.
Parking lights +ve
parking -ve

but it turn on only with parking light, no matter trunk is open or not. And i got suspicious on this LED strip only bcx current draw always went up on fuse 28 when parking light is turned on or hazards lights are turned on and this LED was the only thing that was connected with these two other than fog lights. No other thing was changing the current draw at fuse 28. and then i knew i was looking at wrong place all the time.
When i disconnected the wire from trunk +ve. current draw went zero. but still i didn't feel easy that this Parasite looking LED strip stays there. So removed it. ANd Alhamdulillah no more trouble now...
