Hey pakwheelers, please im looking for a good battery brand currently here in Pakistan for my Honda City 07’, please someone reply asap. Previously it had Exide GL50 which lasted 1 year 8 months during which it was topped up with distilled water many times and recharged by an electrician twice. The battery was giving me headaches so in a rush i got an Exide GL55 with 11 plates.

the battery did last pretty well
and you already have a decent replacement

My mistake i looked up the warranty cards i had and found out its been 1 year and 8 months, the battery actually started giving me issue after 11 months of total usage so in your opinion average battery life is supposedly a year ? I wanted to know that are dry batteries any better then the flooded ones ? Other then maintainance because i love cars and therefore love to maintain them.

it lasted fine imo
also depends on additional gadgets in car.cars with amp's/HID's etc, batteries last shorter
Exide and AGS are reliable
on dry batteries like daewoo/volta people have mixed reviews so far
my experience with daewoo was bad,trying voltra sealed one now. can give verdict when it dies

Okayy, glad i didnt buy the daewoo battery then because i was about to as per everyone including Sir Suneel promoted it No HIDs have been installed, only the aftermarket LED DRLs were installed which i dont think should consume battery but oh well lets see how long this battery lasts, the engine bay of my car doesnt have enough empty space to fit in a larger battery or i would have besides nobody here looks for CCA or CA or amps its just 50,55,65 ki battery which doesnt even make sense 🤷🏻‍♂️

I am using daewoo battery in 3 cars and no issues so far. Oldest one maybe more than 1 year, one is almost 7 months old and one in almost 1 month old. And I have heard only good reviews about it and you can easily find their official dealers on their website. I suggest you should try it.

Daewoo maybe is the only manufacturer have Cold cranking amps (CCA) of all batteries mentioned on their website.

If you want to go for daewoo, I think your car has thin terminals so you can get max DL/DR 60 after that terminals are thicker and battery is also bigger. I think 60 will fit in your car

Man i actually have just bought the Exide GL55, there is visibly no difference upon changing other then the fact that now i have no tension about the car not starting wherever i park it, whenever this battery runs out, im assuming 1 year or nearly 18 months at max, then i’ll definitely switch to a dry battery if i havent replaced the car itself by then

And i didnt have the terminals issue, instead the issue was the tray on which the battery is put isnt large enough to fit a 60/65+ battery or else i wouldve got a 65 battery because i have installed Ambiance lights, LED 4 star roof light, intend on installing LED Headlamps along with Fogs and also DRLS.. if after installing the Headlamps and DRLs, the battery shows an issue, i’ll get the alternator checked at first and if its okay then i’ll definitely buy a 65-70 Daewoo battery and somehow fit it in.
