Imo, get it from the market. Look into dry cell batteries by Daewoo, or AGS. Honda will charge you a premium. Trade in your old battery so you dont have to pay the full price for a new battery

I called at honda dealer he said the price is Rs.6500 for battery and for reboot with engine additional Rs.3500 which makes it Rs.10,000/- and Im sure they will add labor charges.

Market price is Rs.5500/- as per gathered info reboot is required only when battery is dead or car system shows battery warning light and in my case both are not happening, furthermore one guy told me rebooting may be required if there is tracker installed which is also not there.

Get the battery changed, but try to have an alternate battery attached. This way, you will not require reboot.

A) Don't have a tracker
B) Don't have a battery warning light.
C) Can get the work done for cheaper.

Why go to Honda?

get a battery delivered at home from daewoo.

add a jumper cable to the new battery when you remove the old one, so the ecu and tracker never lose power.

You won't need any scanner or anything

If vehicle is under warranty, and you would like to carry it, then I fear, you have no choice other than to get the work done from Honda.

Otherwise, Open market is the best!

I have used Daewoo Maintenance Free Battery, and to me, it does not seem up to the mark.

AGS is indeed the best, IMO too. And I think Civic comes with AGS battery as factory fitted

Use any other battery you may have any at home may it be of ups or another car or from a neighbours car,you just have to keep giving the car power while you change the battery,you will neep jumper wires whose one end would be connected to another battery and the other end would be connected to your cars terminal so it will keep getting power and you remove the old battery,btw what car it is?if its a civic or city you dont even need to do this procedure just remove thae battery and install the new one

Just follow it, and you are good to go. If tracker is not installed, then it becomes even more easy.

Max. which can happen during this time is; some readings gone (like Trip A, B, Fuel efficiency, etc.) and idle relearn may be reqd, which are again; not a big issue.

I changed my Civic 2017 company fitted battery after 55k km last year with new Daewoo dry battery.
New battery was for 6500 gave the old one and paid Total RS 5500.
It simple 5 min job.
Remove the old one and put new one.
No 3rd battery in-between.
Car was perfect fine. Only trip A and average was reset.
