well the last stage of Day1 trekking was from YakPirth to YeshPirth. the path was green and had muddy and fresh water pools as well... also drinking water was available on the way... it was a change to the earlier dry and barren rock landscpae....... the trek is mostly level with small accend in the end......... the views of the valley ahead and behind are superb here.........
we left YakPirth at abt 1.30 pm and reached YesPirth at around 4. pm spo it took us 2.5 hrs to reach ...
YeshPirth:
according to our guide Yesh means horseback shaped... and YeshPirth as seen from above seems concave like a Horse's back so named as such....
YeshPirth is the pennicle point of this trek by far.. the views are amazing as its is at the conflence of the mighty Batura and Passu Massifs..... the forst Batura Icefall is just ahead and imposing itself... its simply gigantic................ in addition to this towards the east the great Shimshal Pamir range is visible most prominet being Lupgar Sar at 7200 meters.....
till the late 70's and early 80's YeshPirth was a agricultural point but as the tourism increased ppl stopped cultivating here. none the less its a cattle ranch now with lots of Yaks and sheep around.... upon arrival first we enjoyed goats milk later layed down to absorb the beautiful views around....... plently of fresh water to drink and wash Ahhhhhh...
YeshPirth has around 15-20 huts. most of which are now just for nomadic use only but our guides personal hut was a state of the art guest house in the mountains.... we stayed there that night and also on the return journey..
Some Science for the readers :
at YeshPirth i saw some antenna sort of things on a coulpe of huts and was told by my guide that they were weather stations.... i was amazed to hear this and on close inspection was happy to observe that such equipemnt had been istalled here by Bonn University of Germany to collect data for weather gurus and Galcieologists ..... chinese teams had also istalled some equipment there and they would visit here frequently for monitering the data........ interesting ,....
well i will let the pics do the talking now....
