well finally we were able to start our trek from Passu....during our discussions with the guide and porter and aslo many senior guides who were assisting us at Passu Inn we realized the emphasis laid by them on the first day of this trek ... invariably it was the hardest of the whole trek and we ended up covering 3 stages in it. but it was worth it coz aik din ka ragra hai is may then its all fun....
well anyway the plan was to leave early around 6 am and reach YeshPirth on same day via Yunzban and YakPirth.....
this all portionof trek is dry and there is no drinkng water available so u must carry a few liters with u... it was very hot that day as the heat wave was persisting in the country... so it caused a lot of prepetation and dehydration to me specially..... that is why i thought to recomend this trek in relatvely early season like end may.......
any why we left Passu at 6 and took jeep to starting point of trek saving an hour of trekking. jeep charged us 400 for a couple of kilometers drive..... then it was all rock and foot bhai... the trek on the whole is a dry one walking mostly on Glacier moraine and rock bed... there is seldom any fixed path but the first leg from Passu to Yunzban had a clear path.. we were energetic and did this leg in only 1.5 hrs... reached Yunzban at 7.30 am... yunzben is a nomadic stopover point but the locas have made a fesableeAllah hut there for trekkers and travellers..... its a good resting place .. the word Yunzban means Yunz lower as it is also a base cap for Yunz pass above which leads to the famous Patundas Meadows.....
no wate ris avilable here as well only glacier water is stored in cans which locals can drink but trekkers mite not feel like it....:). along the way the batrura Glacier and wall is also visible........ the first glipmses of the journey ahead.......
rest i will shre some pics of this portion of trek.......
