007 is the new SUV from BAW (Beijing Auto Works). BAW is a brand from BAIC, Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation. The 007 is based on a slightly modernized variant of the Jeep Cherokee platform. BAIC got access to this platform from their venture partners Chrysler. 007 is available in two engines: 2.0 with 121hp and 176nm and 2.4 with 142hp and 217nm. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.. Price starts from 89800 yuan (12.4 lac PKR) to 122800 yuan (17.05 lac PKR). BAW 007 is meant to compete with Hyundai iX35, Honda CRV and Chery Rely X5..
