I feel very sorry for you though, But three years back, this happened with my uncle. The similar incident.

He parked his car in a hospital in Faisalabad and that's his work place. Though he was busy and he was coming to LHR that day. Suddenly somebody broke the triangular window of it and stole his cell phone, his wallet and most importantly...The Laptop.
he left everything in the rear seat of it.

The car was a 2003 Toyota Corolla 2.0D Saloon. It had an after-market alarm system. But the alarm didn't alert him

I urge you never ever keep personal belongings in rear seat. Keep them in your car's trunk. This can prevent theft.

alhamdulillaha i found my laptop back, we got that guy, he was a office boy in a office and working there from 5 years, the C.O of that office helped me alot and recovered my laptop from that guy's home. now he admitted that he stole another laptop too. now i pray that the 2nd laptop will also recover too. i dont have words for all u guys how can i thank full to you man, really thanks alot for every thing u guys did for me.

And now that u have ur precious baby back, do take EXTRA kind of precautions to make it safe in the future. U know, there can't be two lines of fire for one bullet. You know better than we do, how did the as$hole steal the thing from ur vehicle. NEVER leave it again in the car.

Not in the trunk either cz once a person has access to the interior, getting to the trunk is a piece of cake. MAke sure, if anyone tries to steal something from the car, or may be the vehicle itself, the interior is FULL of surprises for him...

yr just saw this thread.. very sad, i know the feeling when your hard earned object gets stolen.. however its good that in your case the parking management co operated with you whereas in my case no one co operated.

i had my car keys locked once in trunk,its pretty easy to open trunk
the mechanic i brought home just opened rear seats n then he opened trunk from inside with a screw driver easily
