Beawere of shikari trafic warden at mall road - canal road intersection Lahore

Dear Pakwheelers I have been victimized of traffic warden predator not only once but three times at the intersection of Mall road and Canal road intersection.

People coming from canal road who wants to turn right, toward cant mall road there are two right turns. One is used for U turn and second is leads to lahore cant.

People who are not fimiliar with this turn get victimized of this turn. Just right after the turn there are many traffic wardens standing waiting for their prey.

I was given chalan two times and one time just warning. Every time I pass from there I see many people requesting and begging to not issue chalan.

Did anyone had the same experience???

totally agree with you brother they should at least properly put a sign there i i was also given a Waring some ten years back at that same point.

Yup.
There were no signs regarding the turn and I turned. Got stopped, down went 500.- fine. At the next intersection, same thing happened, told him I already paid a fine at the intersection before, the dude was let me off. Some are , some are cool guys, honestly.

I visited Lahore a year back and they stopped me on doing this mistake(it was Saturday night). The warden took my license and said that it will be returned on Monday. I said that I will be returning back to ISB tomorrow. So he said give me 1000Rs but I wont give you a receipt for the payment. So he took 1000Rs from me and returned the licence at the same instant.

You all are wrong. They have put the sign for people. Road pe chal rahay hotay ho toh dehaan road pe hi rakho tabhi sign nazar aay ga.

Before the diversion there is a sign of turn right for Punjab University, Thokar etc and a sign of go straight for Fortress and Airport.

I have similar experienced signal next to PC hotel. These guys are operating in groups, especially in off days. Since he issued challan for me and laterly got money in pocket saying " i ll deposit on your behalf" I have to come back to Rwp else was thinking to give him a boost while report in their office, it was ramazan and i was in hurry to leave lahore.
I hope anyone from Lahore or authorize should take notice, its money generating loophole rather to abide by traffic rules. Non-Lahori should be very carefull on above areas.

That double road issue on canal signal on Mall is just absurd, especially for new ones in the city. Though i live in Lahore but have been a victim of undue fine coz I wasn't driving a Lahore registered vehicle. By the way I did lodge a complain against that Warden but in vain.

Yes exact same signal i was stoped for my back tinted mirrors but they dont stop big cars. Law is only for normal people like us but not for the rich.

Agreed. They have now made another spot. Right after you exit Allama Iqbal airport nd pay that toll, you will see a warden. If you got hid installed then man you are in trouble. Such a ******* they are. They have fixed that spot. Even at late night you will find them standing. He stopped me twice at the same point. He said you will be fine as you are using 3d headlights. I was like 3d???hid you mean?? Yess yess. I asked him that if hid is illegal then you people dont stop in the city. I drive this car daily and now ones stops me. Plus im using it in low beams adjusted right on the roads. Allah he bachaye in sey

Another thing is to be careful in the end of month days because the traffic warden's also have a qouta to fill per month of challan's given and they become active in the last ten to fifteen days of the month,a traffic warden once told me either lying or true that if they don't fullfil the quota it gets charged to them

I didn't commit any crime when I was fined. I was stopped and the warden started writing a ticket and asked for papers. Why?? U have written "DOGAR" on ur number plate. I literally had to come out and see my car's number plate. Dumb head was reading "DGR" as DOGAR. When I told him that its the registration no. and showed the papers, instead of accepting his mistake he started asking questions like what was I doing in Lahore bla bla bla. Had good 15 min of arguements but in the end I had to leave as I was getting late for some important work.

Well as a whole I am not defending traffic wardens but in this thread they are being criticised for doing their job and op got a ticket.

But there are many places and times wardens are looking for prey rather then enforcement of traffic rules.
