I think you should see the car first....and we can discuss the price....

This car was restored by me in 10/11 months time in the year 2006 without any major modifications...... Cost was around Rs.100,000/- including the price of the car.......

I am planning to sell this car as I already have another VW Beetle 1970, a 1302 version (awaiting restoration) and due to my interest in a Beetle of early 1960s (looking for the same). I have to start restoration of my Ford Cortina Mk1 1964 as well......

I would once again suggest you to see the car on Sunday (tomorrow) with prior appointment. I am not rigid on the price if the car goes to a Beelte enthusiast......

1.3's and 1.5's can be "upgraded" to 1600 very easily, just change the sleeve set and get new heads. as for converting the 1200, all you have to do is swap the crank out.

avoid anything except an impreza boxer if you are planning a awap as nothing else is worth it. personally i think a correctly setup 1600 dual port will be more than enough. once i get the correct carb on my ride i can show you what these engines are capable of, till then you can always request a ride from romano.

I was waiting for u....cuz i read that u r the expert of VW and Mercs here....Bhai the main prob with lhr is key we hve to get engines from RWP i think as its not easily available here this is wat every1 told me...so u tell me what shud i do...n who is ROMANO??

yaar putting in an engine like of neother car is impssble..wat u should do is get the high performance pistons they cost around rs 8000/- get a new high performance air intake ur car vil b same as a 1600cc...
i myslf have dne this i have a 1303 beetle and upgraded it so this stuff really works...if u need a good mechanic go to R A BAZAR there is a shop named waseem auto shop he really is a volkwagon xpert.

hmmm u can modify any beetle but 1303 beetle you need to get hands on..45-60 k is the range.
