Actually i need the STEERING ARM for a 1302 Beetle Righthand drive.....
I couldnt find it here in RWP/ISB so can any one from LAHORE or KARACHI HELP???

Why dont you ask Saifi for the original one ??? He might have it as he was the one who took out the original thing and fixed a Toyota Steering system. So how is my Ex Ex Beetle ??? Show us some pics.

n it would be great if u could just ask ur dealer from where u used to take parts...

About d car....
Itz rebuilt iz going on step by step....
The Engine iz completly rebuild and d mechanical work is being done.....
will post d pics later.....

I may be able to help you but Im not clear on your requirements......

The super bug suspension does not have a 'Pitmann' arm like the non supers.....so what do you need???

Is it the universal joint shaft which connects the steering column to the steering box......or is it the small drop arm which goes under the steeering box or the idler arm which is fit to the LHS of the suspension setup in a rhd car???

It would be great if you could post pix of your requirements. Would make things easier.

I cant promise anything as according to what I know its been quite a while since a super was scrapped at shershah, karachis junkyard. Still u may be lucky if I find stuff lying around in the shops there.

Btw whats wrong with the part on your bug???

And I must complain that you are having work done on your car and not a post on PW to update us??????

I asked a scrap dealer at Shershah karachi who said he thinks he might have some superbug suspension parts lurking around somewhere in his shop. So I need to know what exactly you want asap.

As far as beetle is concerned itz still in d same state.....
d thing me was looking for is called STEERING arm.......
it luks something like this. BUT this one in d picture is of 1968 ECONOMY model. d one i want is of 1302 1971 Super beetle. It is d same from the END "A" but it is diff frm END "B". itz tilted to a side. Try to find it out with ur mechanic please. If u get it there we will see how can u send it here and d wayz i can send u d money. BYE

I have a good idea of wat u want...still if u can manage a pic/pics of your arm it would be good n hopefully would also show wats wrong with that particular one.

the steering arm of ma beetle doesnt GRIP it properly......
its teeths are not sharp any more. our mechanic, KHALID ustad WELDED it up b4 but it didnt worked for long. Will try to get d pic of EXACT part A.S.A.P

I went to the junkyard n inquired about the super steering arm.....

 One of the three dealers has it but it was buried somewhere in the heap of parts in his shop....which is a bit messy!!  He claims that it came of a RHD 1302 but admits it is NOT in good shape as it has some welding work done to it (front end collision probably). He was demanding around 1500rs for it...it has the arm attached he said.

I think 1500 is rather or really steep for such a box.....the dealer was claiming that they sell good boxes in the range of 3000rs.......Can you confirm these prices from someone and only if they are reasonable (highly doubt that) can I haggle with him if you want.

Of course Ill hafta check whether the welding is not in the area you describe and that the teeth are good. Otherwise its fit to stay at the scrapyard!!

Let me know asap if I shud go ahead and ask him if he is willing to sell the arm separately or not and what price your mechanic says is reasonable for it.

Sorry but Im not too familiar with Superbugs and thus dont have much idea about their unique parts. 

Let me know asap as I will try to pay another visit before the weekend for next week my duties at the hospital wont allow any adventures.
