Beginner SQL Setup (2019 Suzuki Alto)

Hello Pakwheelers. So I've been out of touch with the audio world for a while and thought it was a good time to document a recent build. Good were the old days when this forum was gaining momentum with insane quality products and SPL and SQ setups were going the lengths of madness. So it's good to get back and actually build a setup from ground up, even if it's a beginner setup

So here it is, the listed items installed in the tiny Alto.

1) Headunit: Pioneer AVH-Z2000BT

As far as I know, this unit isn't available in Pakistan. I brought it with me from Germany. The retail price is 350+ Euros but I got mine for 220 Euros shipped since this was on discount at Conrad.de

NOTE: The market is filled with fake JBL products. Some of which are being quoted at the prices for the actual item. The most common product I came across was the GT-5 12" sub. I will try to post a picture of how to differentiate between an original and a fake but if anyone has bought a JBL product recently (specially from F10 Markaz), pray you have the real thing and not a copy

F-10 Markaz is the hub of fake speakers/subwoofers. I can't tell you how many times I've been shown something that is claimed to be genuine but the packaging and the product itself said otherwise.

Getting ready to install the deadening sheets. These did the job of eliminating the rattles from the doors just like any other sound deadening sheet would do. The aim wasn't to do full coverage on the inner skin at the moment

About 3 sheets were used on the front doors ( inner + outer skins ) along with the inside of the door cards.
Another 2 sheets were used for the rear doors ( inner + outer skins ) along with the inside of the door cards.

The rear pioneer speakers which were also installed by us previously were removed since we were going front stage.

Starting with the install

First up, the tweeters. A simple flush mount on the A-pillars for the Helix tweeters

Speaker cables used are Oehlbach Silverline SP25 (2 x 2.5mm^2). I had a 20m roll so the same cable was also used for the subwoofer

The mid range installed in the doors. The surround mounting rings were made of plastic rather than mdf and mounted with 8 screws each along with backing tape to eliminate any gaps.

Grabbed some additional Dampening sheets to do a few more areas

First, got to the trunk. Covered the inner and outer skins along with an additional sheet on the inside of the trunk lining pad since this was the main culprit behind all the rattling

All 4 door panels also got some treatment. A layer of Jumbolon was added to the tops which have a terrible gap and creak like crazy since the door cards are super flimsy

Re-did some work on the doors too including additional deadening on the inner and outer skins of the door + the speaker rings

Finally, also deadened the hood and trunk floor since I had 1.5 sheets left and decided to utilise it as best as I could
