Being stressed. I lost my car's registration book

I bought a car for working with Careem in January. To start with, I'm a guy in early twenties who had saved and invested for that. Things were not working out and i decided to pull my money out by selling it off only to realize that the driver had lost the registration book somewhere. The car was transferred on my name in january and now I don't have the registration book(the passport look alike blue book that contains the running page). The car I bought was worth 8lac. I have asked a guy and he told me that I'll have to put in 20-25k only to get a duplicated book and that the car will be devalued too because of a duplicate book :') This is really frigging depressing. Can any good samaritan here tell me how much my car will be devalued? It's a suzuki cultus 2013 and I got it for 8lacs and transferred it in my name. I have the rest of documents including the tax receipt(tax paid until july 2017).

I don't know why price is depreciated if book is duplicate. After all it is issued by govt. Bro aap lag gai hain. Duplicate book car is difficult to sell and is depreciated 1-1.5 lac. You can ask driver to give you 1 lac rupees as he was responsible for loss.

yar listen, no need of being stressed now. What's done is done now. What you can do now is to get a duplicate book (can't tell the cost of getting it, as I don't know your city). Use the car as much as your want, use this car for atleast 10 years, get enough profit from it from Careem. After 5-10 years, sell it to someone in your friend/family circle. The value of the car will depreciate, but don't stress for just 50-70k. If you sell it in your friend/family circle then there is a possibility that you won't bear much loss.
You are just in the start of your professional career I guess, so don't stress too much. Life isn't fair. You have to adjust your attitude towards the happenings in your life. Consider it Allah ki razaa and thank him for whatever he has given to you and move on.

U simply return the duplicate to excise deptt and go for smart card.
Once u get smart card no body wil care/ask for registration book
It wil cost only 1500
