sir after 224k, and if you are getting 19kmpl, its small cost to keep adding 600-700 rupees worth of engine oil ..
My opinion would be keep running it till oil loss becomes twice that much ...
and then you can think of rebuild or swap or sale of car etc

The other cost to and oil burning engine is you will have to change plugs at quicker intervals, and if most driving is in the city, you might have to get your cat cleaned ... the pcv valve will also need frequent cleaning. Engine swaps or rebuilds have become expenseive these days ... more economical to keep your old car running if its not too much trouble

Yes, you are right. Its 2.9 & 3.2 without and with oil filer. I get the oil changed from shell vacuum machine I think that may be reason that I get left with 300ml oil with a 4 litre bottle. Oil is at the right point in dipstick.

Through this thread i am interested to know whether 2SZ-FE and 2NZ-FE have same mounts? since both are present in Belta?.
does swapping 2SZ-FE in place of 1SZ-FE require change of ECU and wiring?

What would be the ultimate solution for oil consumption rather then topping up ? My car travels to up country frequently, just yesterday came back from Naran. Consuming oil was very hectic and it took 6 ltrs of oil more other then the fresh oil change just before leaving.
please note that this oil problem has just started, earlier nothing there.

This is a MAF (Mass air flow) sensor it tells the engine the amount of air going into the intake and helps determine the amount of fuel needed for combustion.
Incase the hot wire is contaminated or dirty the readings could offset the air fuel ratio

under load, like on high speeds etc, engine is bound to consume more oil. At the level yours is consuming, you need to get it checked out. It probably needs a rebuild or you can swap engine as well.

Got New Spark Plugs and Got the Fuel Injectors ultrasonic cleaning done

Car has become more smooth.

Recommended Spark Plugs for 2 SZ-FE engine are DENSO SK16 HR 11

BAD LUCK struck Guys.. Engine Blown!!!! Travelling on Ringroad, suddenly the car lost all the power . Stopped the car at the side, opened the hood, the Connecting Rods was making very loud noise., and there you go! A Blown engine!! BAD LUCK.

Replaced the Head + Block now and alhamdulillah got a much better engine this time, like a low mileage engine. Opened the tappet cover and the internals were in Light Gold Color.. The old one was darker shade of Gold color...

Anyways,
There can be multiple reasons for what happened to my car, like Fault in the oil pump, OR water body cease etc, but as i got the Oil + Filter Changed recently before the incident, I believe that the low quality oil filter did the damage by not letting the oil pass throught it smoothly and building up pressure, Again I am telling that this is just my assumption,,, because a perfectly driving car gave up after 35 kms of changing oil + filter and I admit that I used a low quality "Copy" oil filter..

Anyways I have learnt the hard way and started using "Genuine Oil Filters"

Shouldn't you have gotten some kind of low oil pressure or check engine light first? Are you sure the engine you put in the first time wasn't a rebuilt one?
