Belta 1000CC to 1300CC Conversion!

Salaaam,

This thread is all about the conversion of my Belta's Engine.
The conversion from 1KR-FE (1.0 L) to 2SZ-FE (1.3 L)

Will try to Pre answer all common questions I have seen people ask on every engine conversion thread.

Total Cost of Swap : 98,000/-Rupees After adjusting Old Engine

Breakup of Cost :

Qabuli Engine with Gear + Wiring + ECU + 1 Engine Mount + Petrol Pipe + Silencer Collar = 90,000/-Rs
Labour Charges of the conversion (Mechanical + Electrical) = 15,000/-Rs
Engine Oil + Filter = 5500/-Rs
CVT-TC Oil = 6000/-Rs
Silencer Works = 1500/-Rs
TOTAL = 1,18,000/-Rs

Old Engine Adjustment (After a lot of Haggling) = 20,000/-Rs

The car's drive is totally different after the Swap, runs smooth, No more rough idling, Better Fuel Consumption.

After 1 week of the Swap, I did its Throttle Body Service / PCV Valve Service / MAF Sensor Service and now it runs and responds even more smooth.

Currently giving me 11.4 Km/l fuel consumption with A/C, which was just 9 Km/l with A/C on my old 1KR engine

what city and workshop?

how did you ensure the used engine is in good condition? or didn't do any compression test?

Swap was done in Lahore, Zain Autos, Johar Town.
No bro, No compression test done pre purchase, after installation check the engine thoroughly, Alhamdulillah no blow, No oil reduction so far with 5w30 oil driven around 1500Kms by now, Tested compression and Alhamdulillah compression approx 150 +- 5 on all 4 sleeves,

You took a perfect decision to swap it with 1.3 cc instead of making test trials with 1.0CC.

Belta with 1.0cc is a struggler right from its arrival.

i want to swap mine too as it has been sipping some oil for a long time now ..
May I know why you chose 2sz instead of 2nz ?
And why you went with a new transmission as well if you had opted for 2sz as 2sz works with a cvt like 1kr ..
I think 2nz works with the old 4 speed auto.

Thanks alot brother.. Yes, reducing oil is the main issue in these engines when they get old...
I chose 2SZ over 2NZ because 2SZ comes from the factory in Belta. Plus its has a CVT transmission mated..
I opted for a coupled engine (Engine + GearBox) mated together from the factory, because I didnt want to use my old transmission, owing the fact that the engine and the gearbox both should be of the same age.. Like equal condition.
Yes 2NZ is mated with a 4 speed A/T. and would had to changed alot of wiring infrastructure of the car if I would had swapped 2NZ-FE.
2SZ-FE is more like a Plug n Play in Belta, just some minor wiring changes and your are set to go...

I have toyota platz 1.0. It has excellent fuel consumption and good pickup etc. Now the issue is oil consumption. I have researched and came to know about PVC valve, so i hope it will be resolved after this? or should i consider my engine gone? Please note there is nothing unusual like engine check light or smoke from tail or other. Just oil level decreasing. Kindly adivce

Decreasing by how much? Some oil consumption in old engine is normal. A compression test will tell the whole story though.

Sometimes alot and sometimes just a little. But what i think is on high speed it consumes more, same on less on low speed. Is it possible depending on the speed?
And what is compression test and how to do?

I think at high speed more oil is consumed due to high RPM and more force.

I have same problem with Toyota Platz.2001. 224,500 Km driven. reduces 1 litre out of total 3 ltrs of engine oil over 4,500 km. The car is otherwise fine. giving a fuel economy of 19 kmpl plus. looking for the solution.

Well the car takes almost 4 Litres of engine oil to start with, i think 3.7 litres to be precise.

3 ltrs bring the oil level just to the right pt even with change of filter. Max is 3.2 i think. And the car is with us since it was imported in 2006. 40k on odometer when arrived.
