Since childhood i kept noticing that benz owners in this town never put the AC on even in the most extreme temperatures.I could never figure out why?Finally got a chance to take a picture. it was one of the most hot and humid days i took the pictures.
May be he have problem with AC.....any health problem!!

Well there is a Benz in my family too and AC is always on in such conditions.We hardly open windows

Be4 year 2000 AC was optional in Uk Benz...but not anymore...so it must b one of those C180 w/o AC....In lahore there are so many old mercedes which are without AC...old means pre 96,97 or 98..

Well i know for a fact that Merc's eurpoean models especially UK, didnt had AC in it till 2000 or maybe 2002.
So entirly possiable that it is one of those....
BUT, i have seen Merc with CNG ... and i just cannot find an explanation to that

I think it's becoz of the yellow cab scheme.Remeber during that period,lot of merc were imported under it,and lot of ppl got merc who didn't knew sh*t about how to keep a merc,So once a thing is broken in it e.g. AC,they never bothered to repair or replace it and in most cases they didn't had enough money to do so.This is called "kahanye kheeraye taye shouq navaban walaye"
The biggest reason can be that the owner/driver of the Merc is a heavy smoker !

to smoke, u need to open the window just an inch or 2.will take more pictures. i am serious. i have seen S class windows fullt rolled down in june july in this town
^to smoke in an ordinary car you only need to do that, do that in a merc and the car will stink up since the liners and carpets absorb more smell (they are thicker).

you're a very good observer Candyman. i hope i manage to catch a few of such smokers as Storm has mentioned so i manage to sell more of my "Unique Air Fresheners!" not only this, most of the replies given here such as that by Shani bhai are very informative indeed. i never knew such a thing existed though i do remember when we brought our Corolla from there (the UK) back in 88/87 we had to get the a/c installed from here. even for my current Corolla we had to pay $500 extra for it since abu had demanded an European model.
