@Xain, whats the price of that 10,000 btu Mitsubishi ??

I dont remember it correctly but it was expensive than 1 ton of other brands . I guess it was like 19K (some 3 years back)
But after the addition of that AC my increase in Electricity bill was like only 900 despite using the AC for around 15-18 hours all summer at 16-20 C

Yes the same shopkeeper said that Haier is the best AC in all. Second he said Gree that is making ACs for Dawlance as well.
I dont know the exact size of room, it will be like 10x14, not sure. My room door remains open all the time to the lounge. I want to keep lounge cooler as well with the influence of my room so thats why I want to get a 1.5 ton.

@s55, then better buy 2 units of 1 ton each, 1 for bedroom and 1 for lounge, that way if you even buy a 3kva Generator it will take the load of 1 rotary AC easilly !

I asked one shopkeeper about kenwood(didnt tell him about the price) he said kenwood ACs are no longer available in the market, kenwood is no more selling ACs here. Those who are selling have old lot. Thats what told to me.

A.A.again friend i agree with 123 it's reaaly good to buy 2 ac of 1 ton

Benefit:-
U can also run on lower genrator 1 ton get 2600 watts and 2nd u can save ur money from electrcity when u run 1 ton ac in ur room or in ur TV lounge

i strongly recomend u

FIRST:-
1 ton buy=Gernal for ur Lounge it's 100% assambled in japanees Piston technology ( for lounge becoz u wilnt use ac in lounge more thn ur room & also it;s cooling throw superb)

SECOND:-
1 ton buy=Haier for ur room it's Compressor 100 %korean assambled in china Routry technology but it's also superb ( for room becoz u can run all the day and on less electric bill)

NOTE :-
1 ton=12000 BTU must chech on indoor unit by ur self

Are you sure I should go for Haier? I had a bad experience with haier washing machine. It was underpowered and was expensive than local brands. Headache, now using superasia and its very powerfull.

Haier dont have a 1.5 ton AC but will be available soon, told me yesterday.

@s55, Haeir split ACs are good, dont know about any other product from them, but, Haeir Splits are good , no complaints yet and are easy on bills too !

Take the example of LG, they make best Refrigerators, very heavy duty, but their ACs are bad, real bad.

About Mitsubishi, my cousin bought one for a big hall type room and its 2 ton or 1.5 ton but he says that its the best !

Haeir or Mitsubishi, pick one !

Do one thing , read the weight printed on their outer Unit cartons, the heavier, the better, buy one with more weight with same btu.

@s55, yaar my advise again would be : Buy 2 units of 1 ton each, dont keep the door open You ll be able to run your 1 ton Haeir even on a 3 kva Generator !

FINAL=2 Units of 1 ton Haeir.

Note: Buy 1 unit first, so you get satisfied :S

Bhai thanks for the advice of two ACs but I cant close the door my small portable shelf for books is infront of it, no way to close or displace the shelf. So I guess I have to get a 1.5 ton.

Sabro(which lasted only 1 season of summer),
Haeir(Still running strong after 2 seasons),
Pel(Lasted 3 season),
Mitsubishi (Going strong since last couple of years),
General Dubba/Window (Going strong since a decade),
Sanyo Dubba/Window (Going strong since I dont know when),
Goodman (Going strong since 4-5 years),
Some american brand, I dont remember its name, looks very kool, outer is all plastic type material(going good since 2 seasons),
A very weird type of customized unit (Going strong since couple of decades).

@s55, yaar almost all the rotaries have same figures, Haier is among the lowest energy consuming ACs , go for Haier or Mitsubishi.
