I need to know the best bolt on engine for vitz 2005 New shape and the auto gearbox (Not CVT).
bolt on wud be the 1.3 L 2NZ-FE I4 which also comes in the corolla xlinot sure abt the tranny
1.3 and 1.5 can be fitted.performance is very good in 1.5.i think the driver side engine mount needs changing the rest of the fitting is the same as a 1.0.try to get hold of a halfcut and u will get everything original.
which variant in 1.3 and 1.5?
any other option apart from 1nz and 2nz
ive seen 2zfe in vitz 3rd gen.apart from this i think there are less bolt on options.

r u sure it is possible to use 2nz with its own gearbox cuz i have consulted few mechanics which said that which ever engine u put in u have to use vitz cvt gearbox wid it
i saw tht vitz along 2nzfe having manual tranny.
was that transferred to manual or it was inherited ?
in dun know the details broda buh thts wht i saw:)as far as i fink cnvrtng cvt into simpl manual tranny isnt a big deal.
this is what i think but few mechanics telling me that u have to use the Cvt gearbox for any engine
