Best Brake Pads for Corolla 2005 GLi 1.3

Hello Everyone & Aoa!
Ive been searching actively in the market to get the brake pads of my corolla 2005 Gli changed to get better braking performance. So far its got 255,000 on the odo and till this date , all the geniune mechanical parts have been used (apart from aesthetic parts ofcourse). Ive maintained my car as much as i can and now want to get a better braking experience. So im thinking of switching to better options other than the oem pads. So far according to my research, its either Advics Cermaic pads or Asukis ceramic pads that are considered the best ones. I require better guidance in this regard.

Ceramic pads won't increase braking performance of this car at least. It had the least braking power among all corolla. Go for oem ones only. Get new front rotors if you haven't change them before.

Ask Hamza Younas if they have Japanese pads for this model. The thai crap toyota pakistan sells is useless.

Is there any way of increasing braking performance in it? I take special care of the tires and fluids etc. What do u reckon could increase braking performance? The changing of rotors ? Or the change of calipers?

1. Get OEM japanese. Spending on other fancy brands wont make much difference.
2. Change brake oil, meaning bleeding the complete system, if u have not done in the past 2 years.
3. Inspect brake rotors and change with oem ones if worn out.
4. Changes the rubber brake lines if not changed in the previously in the lifespan of the car
5. When changing brake pads, apply silicon grease on brake calipre guide pins. Remove old grease and clean thorougly first.
6. Most importantly, burnish the brake pads after replacing, meaning gradually inrease the speed and gently braking e.g 0-10 km/h then brake, then 0-20km/h and so on go on till a safe limit. Dont do it the "ustaad" mechanic way and apply full braking at once at high speed just after changing the brakes.
7. Always tighten the wheel lug nuts in star pattern, that wont warp the rotors
8. When doing a brake job, make sure that at the end brake rotors are not stained with grease/oil. Of so complete clean before finishing the job, soapy water or brake cleaner.
9. if buying new rotors, the these rotors have thin grease layer in order to avoid corrosion during shelf life, must clean after installing.
