First of all, you need to be clear about what you need. Most people would raise their budget by 5k and look for a branded dvd player (provided you are not interested in a navigation function). This obviously doesn't mean the branded unit will have all the features the chinese units have. After all, at 20k, you are looking at the base model dvd from one of the big brands. But the sense of security is there, that the unit will do its job and not break down.
If you can't go branded, you obviously have to settle for the likes of delson, premier or rockmarks. Out of the list of chinese units, I would get the RM. Its, lets just say, branded on the list. You will, in the future, face issues with every one of these like a lot of pw members have. These units are prone to hardware/software issues and you would be one of those lucky ones if one of these serves you well over the next couple of years...
Thus, get the warranty card signed and stamped from the seller. Talk to shehryar (owner of SV) personally and tell him you are from pw. Ask him for the RM unit, something that fits your budget. I would suggest you ask around a couple of other shops as well and get the lowest quote.
Remember, check what you are buying. Ask them to plug it in and use it. See if you will feel comfortable using the unit if it were installed in your car. Most of these chinese units have glaring issues so hold the unit up to a source of light and see how bad the glare is.
Can you elaborate who did the install. The owner himself or one of his men? And how long ago was this?
