Not written in manual of IMC at all. Engineers at toyota indus motor company aren't mad. They did their job before launching car.
Connect toyota techstream and you'll find option of IMC product instead of US product. At the end of the day where you're going to use 0w? Even at 0 degree celcius 0w and 5w are more or less the same.

which car with 1krfe has been launched by IMC?

1KR is obsolete now. However 1st & 2nd gen Vitz Platz Belta scrap jdm landed in pakistan with such engines. 5W-30 is safe bet for that notroious engine

Well... I read in Yaris latest owners manual for US / Canada couple of months ago (also shared some pages in my Vitz thread, if I can recall correctly), that in case of extreme driving conditions (racing, towing, etc.) Switch to slightly thick engine oil, and I think, continuous non-stop driving, for many hours, on highway / motorway, and at high speeds, is also a sort of extreme driving conditions IMO.

I think that 10w sticker by Suzuki is generic, and they affix it in almost all of their passenger cars assembled here in Pakistan locally.

This latest 660 cc engine in Suzuki Alto will always require 0w-20 wherever it will be driven, irrespective Pakistan or Japan.

I think 120kph will not fall in extreme driving conditions. yes 160 or 180 plus continuously will be extreme or say red lining the car continuously. no?

correct. in new alto they are pouring 0w20 but sticker is same old.

Yes that sticker is generic, once you go to suzuki dealer to get oil change on 660 alto, they will fill it with 0w20 API SN plus.

The reason most people dont complain on that sticker is because people registered on PW and who actually care about correct lubes is less than 0.5% of their total customer base. The rest 99.5% go ask oil change shop - who will fill it with whatever they get most profit on.

Your logic is quite flawed because you only stop at engine oil just like the poster who copied the gulfnews article. The car has more than just engine oil as lube, why didnt toyota specify a different automatic transmission fluid for Pakistan?

Engineers at IMC do not trump the original maker of engine which are TMC japan, have you ever torn down a 1KR or a similar engine? or even an egg and potato 2RZ? or just take it on "feel and touch"

Why should I tear down engine? I'm not a mechanic or something, but engine would run better on 5w30 instead of 0w20 coz you have to keep sheering in mind..!

yes - you will never see -30C in Pakistan so no need for 0w multiviscosity oils - just straight 20 or 30 would suffice.., On the same rationale you dont need engine coolant either as Pakistan never sees freezing temperatures and if one day happens like that people can just drain the radiator and refill the next morning.

how come IMC didnt tell us to use a heavy ATF in the automatic box? Does it not also live in the same ambient temperature as the engine lives in? Or why didnt IMC tell us to use race spec tires on the car to combat the intense heat that is on roads in Pakistan?

Or use an extreme boutique spec ultra duty grease in the axles to combat the inferno level heat that Pakistani driving conditions will subject the CV axles to.

I'm not a person who plays with internals of engines. Engines can go bad due to so many reasons, but engine cannot go wrong with engine oil. If you remember, I was recommending 5w50 Mobil 1 here and we argued on it a lot. Well I switched to Amsoil 5w30 just because of whole debate on 5w50 mobil 1. Explain this please: why engine is louder on amsoil 5w30 at cold startups as compared to mobil 1 5w50? Why is it quieter at optimum temperature on amsoil 5w30 as compared to mobil 1 5w50?

Why does your wagon stop on engine oils and ambient and weather temperature but you guys can never answer when asked for other auto lubes like transmissions, diffs and cv joint or bearings etc.

You are a member on pw, its 2019 now. If you have any sort of engg or tech background you can atleast skim the top of oil viscosity and high pressure wear requirements, rather than feel.

So why do you stop at engine oil only? Atf, grease, diff oil etc are all oil petroleum based lubes too.

Im sure Pakistan has cars specced for Toyota ATF WS, its about 40% thinner than ATF TII and TIV.

Why dont the ATF WS cars just stop moving in Pakistan?
