I recently bought a 2010 GLI, 94K on the ODO and completely petrol driven. I've used Havoline® Formula SAE 10W-30 with Deposit Shield for my recent car which was a 2005 Honda City.
Please recommend if the same oil is good for 2010 GLI as well.
Recommended oil is 5w30. You can also use Toyota Taglon 5w50.
have used castrol magnatec in my 2010 xli with 5000km change intervals.76900 odo no issues.. its a Corolla! it will take shell yellow wala dabba and still run all over the country without issues. it all depends on what you want to spend!
Toyota Petron 20W50 is cheapest option for it and it would run good on it else if you want to spend a bit more than use Toyota 5W50. These Toyota's love 50 weight oils. Unlike hondas which do well even with 20 weight.
Why would you recommend him 20w50 for his car while his car requires 5w30? it is just like reducing engine life by running it on thick oil.
This car has factory fill of petron 20w50, it works good in it else 5w50 taglon.
hican we use 10w40 in Gli 2010... i bough it recently and i don't know which grade used in this before
Go to toyota dealership and get newly launched toyota taglon X 5w30. It launched like 3 days back, and 3800rs/4L is the price, but if your car is highly driven then I would suggest to use toyota taglon 5w50. God knows how much previous owner have driven it.Get all filters and spare parts from partscentral lahore: https://www.facebook.com/PartsCentralPK/
