This thread comes first in google search yet no one has confirmed what oil to use. So I will inform everyone here. I asked Suzuki dealer about all oil information and I will write it down in clear format.
Car: Suzuki Alto VXR 2008.
Engine Oil,
Oil Type: 10W-40.
Oil Capacity: 2.6 liters.
Oil Change Interval: 5000KM or 3 Months, which ever comes first.
Oil Filter Change Interval: Always change it when you add new oil.
Gear/Transmission Oil,
Oil Type: SAE 90 GL4.
Oil Change Interval: Every 40,000 KM.
Brake Fluid,
Oil Type: We use DOT 3 oil in our cars. He didn't knew exactly which one but you can add and mix any DOT oil as long as its above DOT 2.
Oil Change Interval: 40,000 KM or 2 years.
Regarding oil Brands. They recommended always to use Suzuki Genuine Oil (SGO) as it works best with Suzuki cars. But let me tell you one thing, all companies says this bullshit for their cars to use their brands because they earn money from it when you buy their oils. You can use any oil from any company, as long as its genuine oil from that company and its a well known one like Shell, Caltex, Zic, Total etc etc. Use any oil you like, just make sure its not fake counterfeit oil and its from a well known company.
