your engine doesnt have flat tappets, so its not an issue at all. its actually the best thing for it
Many pakwheelers recommend zddp for hydraulic tappets.
no, they do for flat tappets and even for flat tappets 10w30 caltex isnt too shabby.
Okay, lets see how 10w40 goes on as manual also recommends it. Will observe for any oil leaks before attempting 10w30 in next winter
you can try it in the summer as well your engine is going to get just as hot in winters, because of the thermostat valve.
I don't have T.Valve
Put it back , you're harming the engine
Yes planning to do so but for now fan is auto
Umer bhai I m using havoline formula 100th for my cultus 2007 1.5 lac driven now I want to switch to 10w40 should i go for it or to stay on formula plz suggest I m living in wah cantt
My car is also above 1 lac mark and I switched to 10w40 in January. So far going good and tappet noise also reduced a lot. No heating issues and no leakage etc.
I am using 3.5L castrol GTX 20w-50 in my clutus 2002. Its mineral oil of grade SG.It never reduced oil. I change it at 3000 - 3500 kms. I am satisfied with it. i used kixx twice but I felt it reduce power of engine.
