Best Engine Oil For Mercedes Benz S55 M113-ML55 AMG

What is the best engine oil for MB S55 AMG M113-ML55 Supercharged having 120k kms on odometer in Dubai. Previously using Liqui Moly High Tech 5W-30. What is the best viscosity and oil grade according to UAE? The drain interval was about 6000km. Was maintained on Mercedes Benz Engine Oils till 50k kms after it car never went to dealership. Dealership was too overpriced and were rip offs. Brake fluid is OEM i think it also needs flush. Experts give your valuable advice.

Mobil1 0w40 is good and easy available. - MB recommend against a hot viscosity of 30 in AMG engines due to their highly stressed nature.

I am using Prestone Heavy Duty Extended Life coolant 50/50 prediluted and mercedes benz DOT 4 brake fluid. Car has been diagnosed with secondary air injection pump problem. Last time it had ABC problem with check engine light.

Mobil 1 0W40 ESP with Dexos II approval and green packing dont use the 0W40 New Life with Nissan GTR approval and golden pack.

You will need 2 gallon.

If you cant find one at retail get it from 50L drum there will be plenty at racing tracks or tuning shops in UAE.

Castrol Edge 5W40 will also work great.

Have used that Mobil 1 once in my BMW M3 it is a good oil with good engine cleaning additives i remember i drained after 6000km and oil was clean and viscous. LM looses its viscosity after 5-6K. But its a good interval as temperature here never goes below 16-18 C in winters also and after march temps are like 38-44 C in day and 32-36 in evening. And June is extreme hot last year the highest was about 49 C. So oil flow ain't a problem here.

And once i went to Pakistan and car was parked for 20 days and it went too low like body was about to touch the tyres and when i started it came back to its actual position. I think it is like ABC kicks inn.

For coolant in your car, go to a Ford dealer and buy their old "golden" coolant - its the same formula mercedes use, Its actually BASF glysantin G-05. It is excellent in its job.

For the air suspension, if the car is sagging too much then get the unit diagnosed - MB make the car dance in a circle fashion to check the condition of the air shocks. If they are faulty then errors are reported. Be prepared for a massive invoice shock.

Maintaining a MB is surely a headache. Actually ABC in S series has many problems. I have driven BMW and Range Rover too but Mercedes needs quite attention. I think my car is old enough 12 years old i am looking forward to get rid of it and buy a new Bmw or Nissan Patrol.
