For sure, it is SN / SN Plus for gasoline and ILSAC GF-5 and I also recommend the same, for use here in Pakistan. And I believe, most of the reputed brands like ZIC, Total, Shell, etc. are already following it here in Pakistan. The latest they are, the better it is, irrespective USA, Japan, Pakistan, etc.

Sir, we both know that for a single trip of ~1900 Kms, engine, especially from Toyota, will never give any performance issue. But what if the same is being practiced continuously?

Sir, I never expected this from you. I would have been happy if you could have quoted and highlighted my text, and replied to my highlighted text. I am sorry to say, but I could not get convinced regarding 3.4L quantity of engine oil in latest 1KR-FE in Vitz.

I asked a very simple thing that as per latest owners manual for 1KR-FE (2014-2015 and above) in Vitz, the max. oil quantity along with filter change is 2.8L, but you mentioned 3.4L (600ml more than the amount mentioned in the owners manual), and discussion reached to Sabzi and groceries, etc.

I think, I have annoyed you enough. Due to this and some "Other Reasons", I am not stretching the debate any further.

And please if you consider the zic,shell ,havoline sold in pakistan meets the international APi ratings then please do yourself a favor and take some oil samples amd send them for particular inspection lab and check yourself what they are selling you and what kind of damages your engine is handling with use of these desi fluids.
Things got to sabzi and groceries because your term of loads were undefined you were asking to shift to higher Viscosities on the behalf of owner / service manual which was wrong i just presented the overview of load conditions.

So keeping in mind that i had a lot of time had this quantity discussions with a lot of pakwheelers who often visits me for their vehicle maintenances and who those follow the rules like you initially ended up destring there engines and i rebuilded most of them and after that they undestand the cons prons of low level filling. Some freinds also had this superb captions that zic and local oils are super perfect amd they also ended up in damaged engine conditions.

So do whatever you want to do with your vehicle and follow what ever manual you want to follow the truth is you will end up with a damaged engine and the we cant help by just these texts .....

I had regular fellows who travel on that route thrice a month and there vehicles had clocked a hansome mileage they dont had any kind of problem in their vehicles at all. So keep usimg what your heart permits you to do.

Using Zic 5w20 in my Vitz 2014 Facelift. Got it last year, used Liqui Moli Ceratec 5w30 first but shifted to Zic due to availability and 5w20 grade

I put in 3L and the dipstick is at full. That's how much went in and how much came out on the oil change (after 5000km). 3.4+ litres is when there's an engine rebuild. Please do not overfill your car with above 3L. The dipstick is there for a reason.

Also, do not put anything above 5w30. Toyota knows far more than your local mechanics. Pakistan isn't the only hot climate, there's worst places out there.

Its not just the viscosity, most of the thicker oils are cheaper and lower grade (API rating) as well.

Bro, the engine oil level is going above the max. Level mark. I think, engine oil has been overfilled and over-and-above engine oil needs to be drained out. The engine oil level must be in-between the max. Mark at max., But not beyond it.

I hv called my mechanic to visit and adjust the oil level. Moreover i hv checked the record and found lastly oil changed around 8 to 9 mnths ago and the car ran around 2500 kms in this period of time.

Thirdly the brake oil level is down say 30% of the container. I talked to my mechanic and he said brake pads need to be replaced and once they are replaced the oil levek comes up.

What is ur suggestion....

However, regarding brakes, I would suggest complete brakes service, along with complete replacement of brake pads and brake fluid. Instead of topping up, I would suggest it's complete drain / flush, and pouring in fresh brake fluid, preferably by Liqui Moly.

Dot 3 is recommended by Toyota, however, Dot 4 and Dot 5.1 (Not Dot 5! Remember! And never pour Dot 5 in your car!) Will be equally compatible and good!

i will replace engine oil within a week and decided to use the same Toyota Genuine oil and filter too InshaAllah

Yes. Dot 3 is recommended, but Dot 4 and 5.1 are also fully compatible. Still if you are comfortable with Dot 3, then no problem at all!

Brake Pads: ~4500-6000 PKR somewhere (front disc brakes only, no idea about rear drum brakes pads), but go for only genuine, OEM, Made in Japan ones

Brake Service charges: ~1000 PKR usually for all 4 brakes

Oil filter: ~700-800 PKR

Air filter: It depends. I got mine for ~850 PKR. If Toyota genuine, OEM filter isn't available or quite expensive, then you may also opt for Leppon. It's equally Good!

To me it seems normal as it's touching the max. Mark. So I think, oil level is good, however, regarding condition of oil or whether it needs replacement with new, fresh brake oil or not, I can't comment, as it can only be depicted by looking at your car's service history or condition of brake fluid.
