Best engine oil & gear oil for reborn 2011?

Hi all,

I just bought a prosmatic civic 2011. Please suggest me which engine oil and gear oil should I use? Please mention the grade also.

Moreover, car is very down, collides with speadbreakers. Can I use hard desi springs with shocks or is there any other way?

Congratulations for your buy....first of first give some Sadiqa....trust me it will save you a lot....second pls stick to geniune Honda engine oil and Honda gear oil, thats what I stick to my Reborn from 2008 to 2016. What is milleage on meter ... anyhow 40K for gear oil and every 5K for engine oil that is standard otherwise overkill..when to change oil filter you have to put some excessive engine oil. If you will use other engine or gear oil that will make confuse Honda people and you as well to diagnose and pin point any issue in engine or gear if Allah forbiden any thing happens in both, first thing they ask what oil you use and if you say Geniune Honda then they start scratching their heads.......otherwise they will say oil is issue. By the way standard practice is drain all oils and use new when to buy used car...as can't trust seller some time.....

As far as height issue you have to live with that...whole dynamics of car will change...as my own experience....on high speed when you will use brake car would float in either of direction...road grip would be affected. You will loose whole driving pleasure...People use packing in back shocks but dangerous....car looks in bending position and hit more from front only good to use if CNG cylinder at back or more often people sit at back as that would balance additional height...other wise your idea of using Desi Shocks...made me smile..Honda Reborn and Desi Shocks don't pronounce same good at same time....1982 Fx and Desi Shocks yes....then equation seems some balance

Car is driven 69000km. Oil was very black, I changed that right after getting the key. A friend told me to change the 1st oil after only 1500km because the previous oil was too black and the oil I just changed will wash the engine block.

My Reborn 2011 prosmetic is reducing engine oil after covering 2500km only !
I am using Shell Hx7 (5W/30) engine oil as the previous owner told me he was using this oil !
My car is 98000km driven, some people are recommending me to use 10W / 40 Hx5 by Shell. But I am not in the favor of shifting to a thick oil. As thicker oil is not good for the engine, fuel consumption and over all engine performance.
A guy has suggested me to change the current oil after every 1500km at least for two times and it will resolve the issue of engine oil reduction.
My question is should I change the oil frequently ? Can this technique resolve my issue ? OR should I shift to 10W/40 Hx5 Shell?
Or is there any thing else i can do
Because HX7 is costly n it costs 2700Rs. so I don't want to waste my valuable money.

Frequent oil change technique is used to wash the engine block. I think you need to see if the car blows smoke. Note the colour of the smoke (black or blue etc.).

Check first performance of your car...if same drive without smoke you have to distinguish between smoke and steam....the best destructive test is .......put your mouth near the silencer and inhale if you choke in a few seconds and your eyes starts burning....then I am sorry.....good bye to engine ............if pungent smell steam and by putting hand in front silencer and your hands get soaked then engine is fine.....in that case I would recommend leave the car and drive....
