Best Engine Option for Suzuki Margalla

Asalamoalakium,

What is best engine option for Suzuki Margalla? Right Now I do have Margalla's own stock/company fitted 1.3 L engine but its not good in condition. I have two option either to fix it or either to replace it. If I go to replacement side what is best option for me which can be fitted bolt to bolt without any alteration. If new engine would have more power like 1.6 it would be best. I need suggestions/help from all senior members. Thanks

G16B Baleno,s engine.Will u use it on cng or petrol?

you will probably find G15 easily at a lesser price in market and a cleaner unit.

its a good engine. any G series suzuki engine should be an easy/bolt on fit in your car.

overhauling the current engine is also not a bad option either.

G15 or G16 would work well and fit with minimal alteration

However

An M series engine M15, M16 or M18 will bring it up to date. However that route would involve more work and the car may take months to become totally dependable

Simple answer, if you need it back on road asap, get g15 or g16 , if you have time on hand and like to mess around, go for M series.

Thanks Margallar but I think we should go to option which need less alternations. I was thinking to have more powerful engine with no alternation or with very very less alternation.

Margalla is very nice car but sensitive too as compared to Toyota or other company manufactured cars. I purchased a Margalla which was just 16,000 km used, now it is almost 60,000 but when I look at engine and body condition as compared to my Indus corolla it has more wear and tears as compared to Indus corolla counter part.
