Best fuel efficient engine to swap in 93 Landcruiser prado

Assalam-o-Alaikum Pakwheelers.
Mohsin here.
I wanted some help from you guys in regards that I am a university student in islamabad. I want to swap engine in my 93 landcruiser prado because the current engine gives way less mileage. 1 KZ- 6-7km/L in city.
I want to know the best engine swap to get a better mileage. It should be MANUAL

Best engine to suit your vehicle and your needs is 2800 cc 3L non-turbo diesel engine, it will be bolt on fitting and its pure mechanical as well.

max you can attain is 8 local, 10 long. spending 300k for an increase of 1km/l makes no sense

Ok.. So what do you guys suggest.
Should I buy this landcruiser or go for suzuki swift 0 meter.
My father asked me not to buy this landcruiser because it is 93 model and it may require more work in future.

if you are concerned with the fuel efficiency, better go for City 1.3 Manual. Its more fuel efficient than swift.

if you just want to move around within on paved roads, get a city or a swift, if you want to go off roading, then you can think about the SUV, do keep in mind that the jeep will take up most of your weekends at the workshop

Salam bro.
Landcruiser is the choice of enthusiast. And swift is A to B car. If you love big 4x4 then go for landcruiser.
I own a 88 landcruiser. Will share the pocture soon. I have 1-HD-t engine in it, means 4200cc turbo. Wow man... Its drive is Awesome.
If you buy a well maintained landcruiser then no maintenance issues. These things are too strong. They never break down while driving in islamabad.
Its you personal choice. I get approx 10-11km/l and its awesome when you have that much power.

Basically your purpose is to be defined first, if you don't want a hardcore off-roader but wants to explore our beautiful Northern Areas than you may opt for crossovers like Toyota Rush, Rav4.

They can solve both of your problems having fuel efficient petrol engines and newer models as well.
