I am planning on getting a used dual-purpose bike. And as with used bikes in Pakistan, I don't know for whatever reason we pride ourselves on the sealed engines and never serviced parts. As I have read from books, Forks start to loose there operational ranges of travel and compression if not serviced. And if you want to develop a consistent riding style from scratch, it is recommended to have forks serviced after an interval.
Basically, I have a budget for the bike i.e used bike + cost of maintenance before going on the road (Valve clearance check, forks serviced, brakes serviced, wheels and steering column bearings looked at).
Given that case, who would you recommend going for forks service. Ideally, this person has all the special tools for forks, takes care of fork tube polish and mm precision on shims.
I am new to dual sporting, but Pakistan rallying scene is catching up. There must be some person out there INSHALLAH, I just don't know who it is. Any help appreciated.
