congradulations on ur purchase. I always tested my speakers quality on one song and can still check any system on it i,e. "hotel california by Eagles" right after the initial guitar there is some bass guitar with high bass setting and volume if it makes you uncomfortable then the quality is not at par but if it still maintains the original values then you are talking quality ... check it sometime you'll know

How much did those Harmon Kardon speakers cost you ?
Where from isb/rwp did you get them and are they available in black ?

Will post pics of my home theater when it is completed some time next week , have a panasonic pt-ae3000 projector and it is really sick !

Anywhere i can get a projector screen around here ? i have been using my wall right now but it just isnt that clean :P, the screens that i found are mostly only 100'' or so , i wanted to build a custom screen but dont really know where to find the proper material for it.

sorry to bump this topic but which amp and speaker solution you ended up getting, i had a sony 6.2 which was not bad for the money and i am again in the market for a system. I was thinking about matching a Denon / Onkyo reciever with some decent speakers (Maybe Denon or Klipsch or some other brand)

Slightly low on budget so i guess i will be building it up in time, first step would be to get a decent receiver with cheap speakers and later on replace the speakers ... any suggestions?

@baqai i eventually got the onkyo amp TX-SR507 along with Harmon kardon hkts 7 sound system.they both compliment each other beautifully.

for amp go for onkyo i would suggest as for the speaker Denon or Klipsch you have mentioned you wont get them much cheap.

I didn't got a chance to go to the shop to see my options ... If i go for the whole Denon setup (5.1 + reciever) a year or so back i was offered it for 25k i don't exactly remember the model ... Will visit Desert Sound and others to get some latest idea about prices

Well brother i just bought Yamaha Receiver, RX-V465 for 31k from Lahore...it is 105 Watts per channel, 5.1 Sarround with HDMI input/Output seems to be a good amplifier...however now i m looking for good 5.1 spkrs..plz help me out...the prices of these recievers and spkrs have gone too high....i m little low on budget if anyone is selling his used one plz contatc me 03005174072

Well brother i just bought Yamaha Receiver, RX-V465 for 31k from Lahore...it is 105 Watts per channel, 5.1 Sarround with HDMI input/Output seems to be a good amplifier...however now i m looking for good 5.1 spkrs..plz help me out...the prices of these recievers and spkrs have gone too high....i m little low on budget if anyone is selling his used one plz contatc me 03005174072

Looks like prices have gone up a little. Last year in Nov, I bought RX-V365 from Lhr for Rs 18500/- and at that time the price of RX-V465 was Rs 27000/-.
Its a nice amp / reciever but I settled for an entry level 365.

yah brother we live in a country where i have yet to see prices of any commodity ever going down, prices have amps have also gone up, 365 is available for 23k and 465 for 31k....

From Hifi Gallery in Liberty Market...opposite to liberty market where HKB mall is located, a road running parralell to main road but behind HKB, if i m not wrong the name of the road is Al-Fateh Road...it is located on that road....he was asking 34k...but i paid him finally 31k...he had some other good amp as well as spkrs with him ....

Thats an exp shop. I also went there while checking prices and found better deal at Hall Road

than i went to Desert Sound to see some Denon, Kef and Jamo stuff, honestly the guy there didn't impressed me

Any idea about the Yamaha receiver? i don't know if it has a dedicated upscale chip and would be able to upscale composite/component video or not, secondly would it be able to process sound through HDMI or will i have to use SPDIF/Optic for that (that would SUCK) and the last thing which bothers me about the receiver is that it only has 2 HDMI in

Audio is not processed through HDMI in yahama RX V365 and it has 2 in and 1 out. However RX V465 handles both audio and video through HDMI and it has 3 in and 1 out.
