yeah...its sucking hot air...place it sumwhere near the periphery.
like the members said, it's going to suck in hot air- place it closer to the left edge of the engine.

After going to the open filter intake, you need to rejet the carb. Any good carb mechanic can do that for you.
looks like ur car runs on petrol only.. is it? wht about the performance, noticed a diff?

@addzub, Your intake pipe is way too short, and near the engine. It is supposed to be near the lower or upper bumper area. So, it can suck the fresh air through the bumper openings for air intake.
For your reference I will post air Intake system for my brother's Honda Accord with pictures.
Nicely Done But Increase Pipe Length And Place It Somewhere Inside Fender...So It Can Suck Cold Air......!It Will Suck More Air For Sure But Hot....So Make It Cold And It Will Be Much Better Regards
