well Dell Vostro is discontinued now. the current product employs 2nd generation processors which i am not in favour of. i want 3rd generation i5.

hp and compaq are now together and some laptops are coming with compaq name.
But still some comes with hp pro name. .hp pro book 4530s comes in ur range.and check this for ur range .

i am currently using DELL LATITUDE E6420 core i 7(bought 3 days before).after so much search i bought it.
i am also have inspiron dual core laptop and hp pavilion and have used sony vaio 3 year ago.
if u want to buy dell then Dell vostro is better than inspiron series.u can verify this on forums on internet and from some laptop shopkeeper and repairing centres.
At the end u have to take decision.
BEFORE BUYING CHECK HEAT VENTS OF ANY BRAND LAPTOP WHICH IS THE MAIN PART .tO AVOID OVERHEATING WHICH IS COMMON PROBLEM IN LAPTOPS.

^ Agreed. Heating issue is very common in HP laptops. So stay away from them.
Get your self a vaio series on dell laptop. which falls in your range. I repeat again. Don't go for HP.

I am using HP pavilion DV7 Core i7 2nd generation with 6gb ram and 2.5 GB nvidia graphics, No Such issue at all. Its been 1 yr and 3 months of daily 10 hours usage.

Though I made a mistake of buying an entertainment PC instead of a workhorse. Not satisfied with battery life at all. But no heating issues, none at all.

Want to purchase a laptop for around 60000 Pak rupees this week insha Allah for office work and research work. Can anybody suggest any laptop and any good place in islamabad to buy a laptop with reasonable prices.
