If you wanted to do 5k drains then Shell Helix 5W30 was much better option instead of this mineral oil.
Please confirm the drain interval for havoline formula 10w30. I have seen pakwheelers claiming to be using this oil for even 8000 kms
go to dealership for such maintenance. they are not very expensive and parts are very good quality which means peace of mind.
They can be used for a max of 5000 kms but its ideal to use it for 3500kms as it is purely a mineral oil!
There are numerous other mineral oils in the market. Majority of the ppl use them for 5000 kms atleast. Eg. Shell hx5 10w40, total quartz 5000 10w40, caltex 10w30, honda 10w30, toyota 10w30, sgo ultimate 10w40 api sm
I checked the oil with the method you mentioned. Last I changed oil was around 112,000 (now it is almost 115,000). After discussing here and after you wrote the procedure, I checked the oil today and the dip stick came out clean right till the bottom. This means that the oil was very very low and i panicked.I quickly remembered that I had a previous oil bottle which already had about 1 litre in it so I poured that in it. Then I got some oil till the 1st dot on the dipstick
I dont get the logic behind semi synthetic or synthetic blend oils. Its a good marketing strategy to fool customers.

No I am not. However, I always bought it from their pump and not from any shop.

if your car does not have oil in it after 3000kms. start saving money for an overhaul or an engine change.

Try Makki Oil store near Akbar Chowk in Faisal Town. I only know them thats why only recommending them. I get my car oil changed from them. totally satisfied. They dont sell fake oils. btw start looking for engine change option as your car engine is decreasing alot of oil.
Who ever says this that this oil works till 8000kms are wasting their motors this oil is straight mineral oil and is not good at cleaning engine internals hence early drains required, Shell 10W40 is superior to this caltex 10W30 saying this with the facts i donot support any brand but the thing is shell oil can work nicely till 5k whereas this will totally die at 5K
But I think shell 10w40 is also pure mineral now
Not mineral but semi syn, Shell one is slightly better then this oil. In 10W40 fully synthetic is only mobil 1 or castrol else Zic is also semi syn but their 5W40 is good too work till 10K kms easily.
