Most of the posts in the Car Care and Detailing Dreams thread are about new guys trying to figure out which products work on an amazing level that best bang for your buck. So I'm creating this forum as per @bym007's suggestion to accumulate and curate a list of the best of Car Care Products. Will need a lot of help from you guys to keep track of everything and to make sure this thread helps people find the perfect product for their need.

Another important thing is that this thread is not about the cheapest option neither about the most expensive brands. It's about what provided the maximum top-notch performance while still being at a low price point like the Collinite 845 being the best car care product I've come across in all my research!

In the beginning, let's start with some car care product categories that I do know about:

Here is what my research has led me to so far. I might be wrong about it, this is what is thread is for so I can improve

BEST CAR SHAMPOO: Chemical Guys HoneyDew in 1 Gallon (Best Bang for Buck) - PKR4500

BEST CAR WAX: Collinite 845 Hands down! - PKR2550

BEST SEALANT: I'm using Chemical Guys Jet Seal but not completely sold on it since it's quite expensive and the results haven't been mindblowing either. The only good thing about it is that it can be used on glass and chrome as well where collinite can't be used. PKR5950

BEST WATERLESS WASH: Using ECH2O but open to better options. - PKR2500

BEST INTERIOR CLEANER: Chemical Guys Total Interior (For maintenance of New Car Interior) - PKR2100

BEST INTERIOR PROTECTION: Chemical Guys Silk Shine? Ahmad Yar used it to protect the interior when I got my car detailed from him.

BEST EXTERIOR CHROME PROTECTION: Using Jet Seal for that at the moment.

BEST EXTERIOR PLASTIC PROTECTION: Chemical Guys VRP - PKR1650

BEST TYRE PROTECTION: Chemical Guys VRP

Hmmm nice suggestion but I don't know any place except Luxe Auto Spa or any of the other online stores which have no definitive reputation. I ordered the collinite 845 from autohub.pk and the seal was broken so I had a real difficult time believing if the product was actually genuine or not. This topic will eventually hopefully have a the where from element as well but as a start, maybe keeping it simple is the best way forward?

I bought few items online from luxe auto spa including collinite 845 and never found anything sealed, every time I got the capped bottles without any seal which make me doubt if product is genuine & 100% concentrated or water diluted.

Haven't had this issue with Luxe but then I bought the products from their shop never got them shipped plus Ahmad Yar is a detailing legend when it comes to that so there is some trust factor established with him atleast for me at a personal level. And I've seen many other trust him as well.

Best? Compared to what? What is your benchmark.

Prices aside. How are you deciding on these products being the best. How many brands have you used so far, for each category?

For example not every wax is designed to be the same. Some offer more gloss/shine/color depth but at the cost of short lifespane, some are show car waxes which will last only few days, and some are very durable.

A better classification system would be for each category, for example Wax, or sealant. There should be a subcategory for durability, gloss, ease of application etc.

So far the only category I'm addressing is the normal day to day wax based on popularity, price and durability of the product. Also, this is just to get the thread started so more experienced people like you hopefully would pitch in and if you want to add sub categories, you are welcome to.

My role in this thread has been mainly to share the 3+ months of headbanging, research, interviews I've done to finalize what to get for my own car. It's definitely not the final word or a top authority source

3 months is usually the time it takes for one coat of wax to wear off, depending on quality.

Collinite 845 for example, is extremely durable but it's not a car wax specifically. It's a general purpose wax which is used where oxidisation and moisture is a constant problem.

So you can say, the Collinite 845 is best general purpose wax because it gives best price to performance ratio. One coat can last up to one year. However, it may not give the show car shine or deep wet gloss as with more expensive waxes.

Similarly, Sealants are somewhat controversial products. Some waxes and sealants do not bond with each other, causing rough surface and loss of colour depth. And it's debatable if sealant is even needed when using a highly durable wax such as 845.

Klasse glaze, for example is best sealant to cover swirls, and give gloss, while Jet seal is more suitable for a polished surface without any defects.

I got 845 from AutoHub.PK - The seal was broken though when the product arrived.
