You are absolutely right. Quite logical. I was in dilemma as well.
I am not buying by my own cash. My employer is buying it for me(ill be contributing few bucks only). And my current financial position not sooo amazing.
Considering the risk factor and subsequent maintenance cost, I am left with two options in this price range: 1. Grande and 2. Elantra GLS.
Grande delivery time is more than 6 months
While elantra is delivered in 30 days.
If price increases I'll have to compensate for Grande. On the other hand this risk is minimised in case of elantra due to delivery time.
Now question is ... should I wait for grande and pay possible price hike and be extremely risk aversive plus new grande is expected to reach market soon which would also make my grande look outdated.
In contrast, If I buy elantra which is new to market. Has bigger engine, more features and is prettier but comes with a risk. As this car is on road for about 1.5 years. Ab mujhe ni confirm k itna period sufficient hai to expose a car and its manufacturer.
So
Is going with Elantra a calculated risk considering factors like resale, after sales market and availability of parts ?
