My mechanic also used acid for cleaning of cat. Mine s 2001 model, previous owner was using shell10w40 i switched to 5w40 synthtic frm last month. And yeh i got 15km/l with 30% city drive nd 70% upto 60km/h speed driving conditions.

Well engine was changed by previous owner.. May b 1lac or more imnt sure. No it dsnt decrease oil..

It cost me 3100, nd i change it from shell outlet/dealer near Faqir Abad police statio on eid gha road, but u can get from any shell pump also. 10w40 (cost 1800) wl gve max 3k to 4k while ths synthtic 5w40 wl gve u 6k to 7k. Nd bcz its cold grading s 5 means viscosity 5 at cold temp so my car starts wth hlf slf n morning..

Went and drained the liqui moli 10w40.Now filled with shell ultra 5w40.So far,no burning and knocking.Pick has improved.Lets see after some days of usage.

I wanted to ask you how much mileage does your car do before dropping the first bar?Mine used to drop first bar at 135km but now it has dropped at 45km after changing to Shell 5W40,Fuel filter and ATF .

my calculation is as:
1st 147Km
2nd 71
3rd 91
4th 63
5th 64
6th 71
7th 56
8th 58

and now on 2nd refill its still on with 146KM.

I dont thnk it has anything to do with all these changes ..

I'm sorry. I didn't understand you fully. Is that a total mileage of 620km on 8 bars or are you talking about the number of times you filled the tank full?

Im talking of individual bars milage and yes total of 602 .. While the 1st bar give me 147km. Tht is

2nd bar 71
3rd bar 91
4th bar 63
5th bar 64
6th bar 71
7th bar 56

I travel from phase 3 hayatabad to lrh daily on university road and max I got was 375km on 7 bars. Is this on the motorway? Whats your route?
