Best route from Pindi to Sargodha

Hi all,

I know this might be a little off-forum but I want to know if someone has travelled from Pindi to Sargodha. I need to know the best route to take and also if someone can guide me as to what the conditions of the roads are on that route.

No problem very valid question.

Best route is to take M2 i.e. motorway from Islamabad to Lahore. When you reach Slaim chowk you will see signs for Sargodha turning. Take directions from those signs and get off from motorway. The raod is good and you will reach Sargodha from Pindi in about 4 hours.

If you do not want to take motor way then get on GT road abd turn from sarai Alam Gir (Near Jehlum) to Mandi Bahaudin, Head rasul and follow signs to Sargodha. It will take 5 to6 hours by car and raod is just so so. Quite bumpy at some places.

Third route which is more adventurous is to take GT road and then turn to Chakwal. From Chakwal go to Kallar Kahar and follow signs to Srgodha. Total time is 6 hours. Hilly, winding and narrow roads. Route not recommended as it is tiring.

Best route is Motorway through Salim to Sargodha.

u can also take exit from motorway at Bhalwal and follow signs to Sargodha. same time as salim. road is not very good.

I have heard that the turning from Sial takes you to Sargodha via a much better road than the turning from Salam. Is that true?

You said 'Slaim' in your post. I know this must be a small typo but I can't understand whether you mean Salam or Sial :S

if u r going from Rawalpindi then Sial is far away compared to Bhalwal or Salim. choice is yours. Road is definately better.

BTW Sial chowk esit suits Sargodha if u r coming from Lahore. It is shortest way.

Ok, now I am really confused. I had the impression that the route coming from Lahore is the Pindi Bhattian turning.

If I look at the map of motorway (at http://www.pearltours.com.pk/maps/m2.htm), I can see three roads leading to Sargodha from the motorway ... from Salam, Kot Momin (Sial Hoor), & Pindi Bhattian. Now Pindi Bhattian is definitely very far if coming from Pindi. It is a lot better suited if coming from Lahore. But if I can get a better road by turning from Kot Momin instead of from Salam (Bhalwal) then I think I will be willing to go the extra 30-40 kms.

What do you guys say? Has any of you travelled the road from Kot Momin (Sial Hoor) to Sargodha? If yes, what is the condition?

PS: Yes, I know I am being a bit dense here, but I really value the suspension of my car

Road from Kot momin to Sargodha is in two parts. First part from Kot momin to Bhagtanwala is very very bad and narrow. Then it joins the road coming from Pindi Bhatian to Sargodha which is very good. This route is not good.

The standard route is from Salam whcih is also followd by Daewoo buses. FOr cars it is quite OK. From Zero point to sargodha city it is 248 km if you go through Salam.

hi

i used to go to RABWAH and i leave motorway on PINDIBHATTIAN than go to TEHSEEL CHOK (CHINYOT) from where RABWAH is 5 km and from RABWAH SARGODHA is about 44 kms.

I think you are talking about the route from Lahore. Going to Rabwah from Pindi Bhattian from motorway would be a very long route coming from Pindi.

hey now ! does motorway have slow moving trail of trucks that u have to overtake one at a time, does it have those dhaabas on the side, and does motorway have holes as big as wells in the middle of nowhere ?

take m2 at pindi travel till mukhdoom interchange.thats new name for sial moor.and travel on carpeted lahore road to reach sgd.its totaly best way with not even a single jump

Sala evi 1 i want to ask ...mery pas safari 70cc bike hai 300km used ...mn is bike p rawal.pindi ja sakta hn from.sargodha ??? engine p koi farak tw ni paryga ??! ya agar mn 2 hour drive r 30 mint ka rest dun !!! please tell me....and best route ???
