Best sedan in 1.5 million or so

I'm looking to buy a sedan for my family the budget is currently 1.5 million which may or may not increase.
I'm not a big fan of Corolla 2009-2014 and a Honda City is an idea rejected by my father.

With that corolla and city off the table, what options do I have?

-Fuel economy isnt a preference. But please share the numbers just to help me decide.
-Parts availability is a must.
-Should be able to seat 4 easily and 5 when necessary.
-Has to be a sedan.
-JDM is a preference.

Currently looking at Accord CL7 and CL9. Looks good and all but I'm a little hesitant buying one given that it will be over ten years old. Not sure if I'll be lucky enough to find a well maintained car.

So what options do I have? If there is some real good options I may be able to slightly increase the budget.

Aqua isn't an option due to the boot space.

Mark II based on what I know will make me worry about fuel economy. I've hear as bad as 4 km/l for that
Prius in this budget, what model to expect?

I'd be interested in knowing all of the options. In no rush to make the purchase. will patiently look for a car that is well maintained and has parts available in the market. Intend to keep the next one for at least 3 years.

Do consider Toyota Axio. You can get the previous gen Axio before the ongoing hybrid model. It's a beaitiful and well built car. I am unaware about it's current market price but I think you can get one in 1.5M.

Any reason why City was rejected? It's a perfectly good sedan in my opinion. And covers all your points. It's always wiser to buy a new car rather than buying a used one. That's my suggestion.

Your best option is an axio 2007, or corolla X 2006. A decent maintained CL9 is not below 1.5 million and its not exactly built as a family car. The look one offered in 2004-2006 is a family car, but again, finding a maintained car in your budget is a no can do. A premio 2004 is also a great option, finding one again is an issue. Long story short, since you have time and are willing to patiently search, get an axio, lovely machine.

suspension is stiff...but drive quality is way better than local corolla.....corolla starts shaking above 100....city remains stable like a flying carpet even above 120...i have not driven axio and premio so i cant tell you about them...but city has good drive...

lol.. Which corolla shakes above 100? I have been in all variants in all shapes, non of them shake even at 100 mph.

Year I sat in 2015 model being used in metrocab...at 100 it started shaking wildly...and at 120 the vibrations were very prominent... Honda city just flies over the road....it sticks to the road like a lizard...

Those cars are not maintained, they are just taken for repairs once they break something. Even a city in rent a car would do that. I have had all the models in my possession from 1984 till now, and i can assure you, non, i repeat non shake at a 100. As for city, its a light car, take a ride in both cars on the motorway, while crossing a truck or a bus, the air push on the city is monstrous as compared to that on a corolla

probably a poor condition corolla. I drove a corolla 2009, not in the best condition at 140+km/h on motorway last year because, without any exaggeration, it was so smooth compared to my cultus that I couldn't notice my speed going 20-25 kilometers over the speed limit.

the moment I noticed the speed, it was no longer that fun to drive

drive city also...you will be pleasantly surprised....that car actually sticks on the road like a lizard....believe me city is a more drivers car than corolla....corolla is reliable city has better drive....
