Best tool for replacing Spark Plug

Assalam Alaikum
I am planning to replace Spark Plug of my car at home. I saw a bunch of videos on Youtube on this topic but cant decide which tool should I use for this job. There are a lot of possible combinations like deep socket with extension and L bar, complete T shape socket, magnetic socket and so on. kindly guide me the best combination. Also is it necessary to use Torque Wrench because we cant tighten it to proper torque without a torque wrench.

@mohsin-212 bhai which car and engine are we talking about! if you mention the engine we can search for the torque rating.

well i use a deep socket fro spark plugs, and extension and wrench and Torque wrench for the final! changed at every 40000 kms

Usually mechanics dont give a damn about torque tightening spark plugs and use maximum force which can cause issues.

You can use any tool for opening a spark plug just get the right deep socket.
It is the best procedure to use a torque wrench lekin pakistan mein kahan kissi k paas hota hai torque wrench. If you want to buy one yourself they are expensive. Low rating wala cheaper hoga then higher rating lekin overall still expensive.

I have been servicing my car for the past 4 years and i just use normal force to tighten them thats all.

the torque rating is most probably between 16-18 ft-lbs.

Yes torque wrenches are expensive here. But they are essential! Check the website toolsbazar I bought a manual and a bearing one from them. Price is reasonable.

The Chinese torque wrench on tools bazar is overpriced and has more than 3% error. You can get the same in market for atleast 2k cheaper.

I just recently bought a torque wrench to service my own cars. It's a Made in Taiwan Click-type Torque wrench with 1/2" drive and 20-150 ft-lbs rating. Its from a company called Jonnesway. Comes with its own calibration certificate and lifetime warranty for craftsmanship defects. The fit and finish is really nice compared to the Chinese ones.

If you are in Karachi I can hook you up with the shop owner. Its a very old shop in Saddar and I've seen all types of expensive German, American and Taiwanese tools with him. He says he also supplies professional tools to Indus Motors.

best is goto Marriot Road Karachi there is a whole market there for hardware go there check the stuff and buy! i have bought plenty of tools from there even power tools and pressure washers!

the plug opening tool supplied with tool kit works just fine, but u need a probe with magnet to pull the plugs out as the tool wont hold plugs in its socket. and i hate using coils to pull the plugs out.

btw using iridium plugs gives piece of mind as u dont need to open or clean them atleast 50k kms

Yes I agree. I prefer going to Marriott Road too. This is from a nearby shop as well.

the plug opening tool supplied with tool kit works just fine, but u need a probe with magnet to pull the plugs out as the tool wont hold plugs in its socket

That tool is missing from tool kit, also other tools in the kit are very pathetic in build
