Best Train for Lahore-KHI?

We need to get tickets booked for Lahore-KHI in next few days. Please suggest whether Karachi Express would be good in terms of timing etc or any other train? Will be travelling on Economy.

Try to get tickets in Karakorum.
Its has very less stops and it reach the destination on time.

The best train between KHI and Lahore is:

1) Greenline
2) Karakoram
3) Business Express
all above have Business class and less run time.

Night coach express is good too but they have AC Lower, not business class.

Tezgam has AC Sleeper also but its running time is more.

Edit: Oopps... just saw u wanted to travel in economy.. then only choose Karakoram or Night coach express.

Its economy fare is Rs. 1520 per Adult with berth between Karachi and Lahore and timing is 7 pm departure and 2 pm next day arrival.

I would suggest not to travel via night coach. I have traveled in it to Lahore in Standard AC, the coaches were obsolete and outdated and the economy class coaches were in the worst condition. I would suggest you to travel in economy class of Karakoram or Karachi express.

Best option is Green Line Train (Direct travel from Islamabad to Karachi) in Business Class (Fare is around 5,500/-, meals, refreshments included in it).
Otherwise you will have to come to Lahore first to take other trains.

U r wrong bro. Night coach express operated by Shalimar group has new coaches for economy class. Meanwhile karachi express (railway owned) has old refurbished coaches. Karakoram and Night coach express have identical economy class coaches.

Tezgam also has same new business class coaches like greenline and has lesser fare. The downside is 26 hrs run time. Food and other additional services are also not included in ticket unlike greenline

Well, I traveled in night coach to Lahore in December 2014 and when I came back to Karachi in the same train in January 2015, the coaches were the same obsolete and outdated ones.

Nope. It was night coach, the private one which departs at 7pm.

I am also traveling (with family and kids) to Karachi in few days. Only Option I found was business Class (Cope of six persons). I need few questions if someone already traveled in it. (Sahiwal to Karachi Khyber mail. Karachi to Sahiwal Karachi Express).
1- Do I need Blankets or is it ok in warm clothes?
2- I will carry drinking water. What about water in toilets?
3- Food? because it is min 18h journey.
4-Do they have mobile charging facility in the cabin (business Class cabin for 6 persons).
5- Any other tip or advice. It will be my first travel by train in Pakistan

1- If you are travelling in economy class then do keep blankets with you. If not, no need for blankets, warm clothes will be enough.
2- Water is available in toilets. Do carry some extra water, toilets usually run out of water in morning.
3- Yes, carry food and a lot of junk food for kids.
4- Power sockets are available but mostly they don't work. (carry a power bank just in case)
5- Lock the door at night, count your luggage before and after being seated in your coach, avoid stepping out on stations unless you know the trains stopping interval.

I will be traveling to Lahore this Eid from business express (first trip from train).

Can anybody please confirm if cellular and data service (Ufone and/or Zong specifically) will be accessible during the trip?

Also does business express have internet facility of their own?
