Best Transport Option Islamabad to Skardu for 3/4 people

What's the best transport option from Islamabad/Pindi to Skardu? In terms of time and money; value.

IF I RENTED A CAR, how much would fuel cost from Islamabad to Skardu and return Skardu to Islamabad? And duration per trip
If we went by one of the tourist bus services, how much time would it take?
Since we have around 8 days trying to look for max time in Skardu, minimizing layovers. How long would it take if we went directly?(with limited stops) Or would you recommend staying the night somewhere ?

Best is to get a PIA flight from Islamabad, a bit expensive but saves your precious time.

Rent a Car may charges you around 25000 to 40000, depending on car model and number of days.

Its a rainy season all over Pakistan and it might take more than 24 hours to reach Skardu.

NATCO operate best tourist bus service between RWP_ISB to Skardu, .. please cross check timings and fare. Depending upon road conditions & weather forecast schedule is variable.

Dial the numbers - Normally Bus from NATCO Terminal leave for Hunza / Skardu at 3 PM, approx travel time is 22-24 hours - subject to weather conditions.

Thank you everyone. Planning on going in 2 3 weeks via rented civic/prado stopping at jaglot for the night.
