I have joined in the CG 125 gang recently. I got a used 2022. it's rear tyre is pretty worn out (Ganja), As far as my research goes, stick to the same size as recommended by the manufacturer. But, there is a new model called VIGO. By the looks of it, looks quite grippy. I am planning on getting that one. That will cost you about 3,600 PKR (I think). But I would recommend you to not cut corners with the price on the tires. Since it's the only contact you have with the road.
Secondly you mentioned your rear tyre slips while down shifting. I don't know how good are your riding skills. Don't mean to offend you, but you can work on your down shifting skill to improve that. Because my rear tyre as I said is quite Ganja. but it never slips while downshifting.
Side Note: Being new to Pakistan and new in the 125 gang. Honda authorized dealers are very very disappointing. I would strongly recommend every body had the same experience with Honda as I did. To at least write a review on Google reviews. So at least they know that they are giving really bad services.
