Best tyre size for Alto VXR 1000cc 2005

I wanted to ask which tyre size is best for alto 1000cc for a better fuel economy and soft steering?
I was thniking of 2 options
1) 145/80 R12 (oem)
2) 155/70 R12
also tell me between dunlop and brdigestone and general which one is better?
and just a last question I have local alooy rims which leaks gas after every 1-2 weeks so should I switch to stepnys instead?

If you want grip with good braking performance, go for 165/70R12 otherwise stick to 145/80R12.

Quality wise brands are as per these priority numbers:
1. Bridgestone
2. Dunlop
3. General

Prefer to but Bridgestone Techno series as they are ideal for Pakistan roads and environment.
