My civic 2000 got stolen last year. But alhamdulilah got back after 6 days
After that I looked for the options to prevent it
One option is to have tracker but sometimes it does fail as they may have jammer or removed tracker. But still I recommend it from any good company like TPL or Itecknologi.
Second option is you have something like chor switch. In my case, I remove PGM FI fuse, which disables the computer and turns off the fuel pump. and it only cranks and will not start. I am completely relying on this option in my civic.
Third option is you can have steering or brake locks which you can get from Daraz. I am using it in my corolla se saloon 2002 which is a hot cake for these bastards. But not the simple lock one. As maybe they have a key for it. I am using the round combination lock onr where you have digits to lock and unlock
And Lastly and most important one is to always recite duas and ayat al kursi to have Divine protection.
You may use all the options simultaneously for better protection
Also be aware of your parking place. Don't park it at a place where they can do there deed easily. Also if you can have a watched parking by giving some money, prefer that.
