Shell stations do this too. They tried to pull this stunt a couple of times with me too (put in 350 of petrol, then only went up to 1150 etc.). Caught them in the act and raised hell.

Here Govt inspector visits every fuel stations randomly to check the pumps. I wish Pakistan had same laws.

In Pakistan they also visit pumps, but for the other reason; to take money which is their share.

@toofast. Pakistan does have laws and inspector for everything and they do visit pumps too and walk out with Quaid-e-Azam's pix.

thank GOD i have not seen this in the stations where i get petrol from in Rawalpindi. They always knock on your window and dont start pumping until you make sure that the meter is zero.

Long Story Short......I Mostly Get Filled HOBC In My car either in front of my eyes watching meter and petrol going inn or i simply take 10 litere gallon and ask them to put 8 litre in it....in this sense.......they just can't foul you around....its their common practice since many years...!!

Happened with me many times.
Once SHELL in PHASE IV DHA KARACHI ripped me for 1000rs. Told the guy to fill 1000, he starts filling, fills all the way upto 1000rs. I give him the money and go. A minute later I see the needle only move like 0.2 cm. It wasn't even noticable. But usually after 1000rs worth petrol, my car tank goes all the way to Half tank, but this time it barely moved. I go back and rant. The guy just says hey i'll give you 300rs more and thats it. After 300, he tells me to go and get my sensor checked. Bottom line: Gives me 400rs worth of fuel INSTEAD of 1000.

Another time PSO at Cantt Station ripped me. Gave them 1000rs to fill. IDK what the **** he put into my car but my car started knocking like hell and later I had to get my tank + fueil filter and everything cleaned.
Lesson learnt.

Actually inspectors visit and check petrol station every six month in pakistan but they take bribes!!!! (H)
