Bhai it all comes down to budget..If you can spare like 5-6k rupess(which most of the bike owners wont)..Just buy a good wax and some microfiber towels, microfiber wash mitt,,a good wax(one time investment--Turtle ice liquid wax)
Here is how Prof auto-detailers do this stuff:
1-Wash:Top to Bottom--ANy good auto shampoo..(Detergents are anti wax agent..They remove the already deposited wax which acts as paint protectant)
2-Detailing clay It is a substance that is designed to remove bonded contaminatns from paint, leaving the paint smooth as glass, allowing easier and more fruitful applications of polihses, glazes, sealents and waxes. Detailing Clay is wiped gently across the paint which needs to be lubricated with a lubricant such as a Quick Detailer spray.
3-Now there are 3 ways to go:
For neglected Paint: Do rubbing compound polish.Then apply Swirl remover(compound polish most of the time leaves swirl marks on the finish) and finally finishing polish.
For Moderate Imperfections:SImply apply swirl remover then finishing polish.
GOOD Condition Paint: Juts use a Prewax cleansing Polish(removes old layers of wax and very fine imperfection)
4-Apply Glaze:A glaze is often an optional step of the detailing process, but when used correctly can help add an additional layer of gloss and depth to the paint. Glazes are essentially polishes that leave behind oils, kaolin clay or some other substance that is designed to increase the depth and gloss while being able to mask or hide some minor imperfections in the paint.
5-Paint sealant or Wax--or Both
Paint Sealants were created as an alternative to natural carnauba waxes. They tried to duplicate the shine of carnauba but also offer some benefits that a natural product just can't provide. One of those benefits is longevity.The only thing they lack is the shine in carnauba waxes..But latest Paint sealants offer very eye candy shine gloss...
Detailers Lay down a layer of paint sealant for durability.They then top it with carnaubax wax for an eye popping shine..Always apply Paint sealant first..!!
6-SPray Wax(optional)
