Bro i have used coconut oil before and yeah its true it brings shine to your ride you dont need to use cheap polishes.Why dont you give it a try? Apply a little cocunut oil on cloth and rub it on the parts of your bike. It will attract the dust after you see there is a layer of dust after 3 to 4 days clean it with a cloth and you will see the shine. Its winter so apply a little coconut oil because it gets frozen you can smell the burning of cocunut oil on silencer after a ride hehehe :D.Its a weird totka but why dont you give it a try? Do give me your feedback.

wax is for shine and protection while polish is for shine.it is abrasive and cuts a very very thin layer of paint to make it glow and put more depth in it.since your bike is new there is no need for polish.just protect the paint using a wax.

coming to which product you want to use totally depends on your budget.
if you have the budget you may buy a tin of meguiers ultimate wax which cost 1800rs and will last you atleast 15 months since you will be using it on a bike.
if budget is an issue then normal recommendation is Turtle wax which is the least expensive among the good brands.turtle wax super hard shell wax costs around 500rs.
best results will come with Meguiers of course but turtlewax can also get you amazing results too.

do buy good quality microfiber cloth.you dont wanna remove the wax using a simple cloth or cotton which illeterate drivers do..no offence.

best of luck.do post the results and the products you will use.

Bro , No Polish is Abrasive!! and never cuts paint.. Its is Compound whcih cuts. So normal polishes just bring out depth and shine and that too if used properly.. Wax is for the additional shine and protection..

Compound is the most abrasive and polish is lessor abrasive but still ABRASIVE. Both cuts some part of paint and brings fresh paint out so it looks very shinny.

Waxes are not abrasive at all unless the label says "Cleaner Wax", even then it will be least abrasive. Wax brings shine and protection by adding natural/synthetic shiners to the paint and upper protection layer.

Wash the bike. Dry it. Apply polish. Then protect the applied polish by coating of wax.

Polish is recommended only in case of very bad condition/appearance of original paint or bi-annually. But if paint condition is good then plz don't use polish too often. Just wash with auto shampoo and wax it. Keep in mind wax must be of good quality (not formula1 nor cosmic).

The reason is that polish a bit abrasive material and it will definitely peel some part of paint as the bikes are painted using one step system. The new cars are painted using two step system. Step 1 = Paint Step2 = Clear Coat. If the polish is used on a 2 step paint it will peel off some portion of clear coat and too regular use will peel off whole layer of clear coat.

BUT

Bikes are wearing only 1 step paint. Too regular use will only end up in removal of paint nothing else. It will then be more vulnerable to scratches.

I think you are under impression that wax is only a protective layer, NO. WAX does not only protects the surface but gives depth and shine too. Having said all this, if u still want to use polish then u must have to use a quality sealent after polish and before wax.
