proud to hear that the head of the VWCOP is flying our flag high and cleaning up all the tropies over there with billo.

i'm sure many people have changed their opinions on PK once they met you and saw your car. you should be awarded the title of "honourary ambassador" by our contry as i'm sure you've done more for the image of PK than our politicians.

One question: Has the front right fender been worked on? Or is it just me as it does seem like a little out of shape to me. May be a NOS fender is already awaiting to go on and replace this one on Billo?

As far as i can remember the pair of front fenders were in original paint when I bought them so minimal work, if any was required before they were fitted. I wasn't so lucky finding the rear fenders in similar condition. I do have a complete set - 2 of them in NOS condition but I cannot dream of getting them painted here in Canada....

Lovely but I am sure it would cost a fortune to someone to buy this beauty out.

I wonder though if the rear view mirrors are "correct" for the year?

Not sure a hundred p.c if the mirrors are incorrect as i am not a 'Bus man'. Last week a 63 was sold for $193,000 in Ontario at an auction!!! maybe I shouldn't post this as someone might get the bright idea of exporting the few remaining buses out of Pakistan.

you should have asked. I am sure an even $100 would have made you the proud owner of the radio (not sure if it worked though..never asked). I'll look for luggage at the next show. You'll need a luggage rack though. I have a coke cooler that would compliment the luggage nicely.

As far as I remember, we had talked about the radio through emails. May be it just slipped your mind.

Would love to have the luggage and the COKE cooler even though it is a competition branding equipment but still, I can use it for personal hobby car I guess

It did slip my mind..but I was so rushed this once for the reason I mentioned. Usually when I have time to browse at leisure I find treasures... anyway there are more shows in July. There is one called the Bugs in the Garden which is across the border. Hopefully more goodies there as the US kabarias are better stocked than their Canadian counterparts. They source their parts from the dry states where the parts don't rust. In Canada, just to find good door handles is a tedious task due to pitting in chrome. I have yet to find a clean peanut indicator chrome cover..but the US shows are a different story. I was hoping I'll get a chance to go to California but ...maybe another time..

I spent years looking for the correct OG air intake trim for Billo. Meanwhile I used the one piece aftermarket trim that was OK but not what I so wanted for her.

Then I found a good used but complete set in Seattle Washington. It arrived just in time for the show even though it was a pain to sort out the correct size for each slot. (They arrive un-marked and un-sorted in a box)

I saw the correct one, a NOS/OG set, on sale on SAMBA for 250 USD...This one even used, looks to be in good nick and the correct louver intake trim looks unmatched, without a doubt.

Reezvaan..my friend...How many times do I have to tell you to remove the zero at the end of the figure before posting a price on this thread? Your research results would get me sleeping in the garage. Remember! my wife reads these posts...the price therefore, should be $25 for a NOS set and less for this used one.

Ooopsss! But worry not, its summers there already so it wont be as bad as sleeping in the garage in those icy winters for a day or two, and that too right next to Billo

...and I also have a very clean set that i picked up for my Oval;)
