Birds breeding as a side business?

Two of my friends are into this and recently one invested his 200k and saying uptill now everything is going good as planned but it would take a long time to reach at break even point and making profit.

He is advicing me too that i should think about to make a small setup on my roof top and i can earn easily through it.

Is any one out there into this stuff? What do u think its a good idea or not?

Babies require a lot of care. Do you have the time and patience to raise multiple chicks? I agree with hasooboy, if its a hobby (something you like/have been doing for a long time) then makes sense.
200k is no joke.

200k for bird breeding? You can even start from under 10k. Use bottom-up approach instead. Starting from a pair of parrots should not be too expensive, I personally do not like caging birds and hate people even trap crows for money. Last week I had to visit neela gumbad in Lahore and was shocked to see 20 crows in a small cage. I offered the chap 50Rs per bird but he walked away in a sarcastic way saying Bhaijan this cost us 150 per bird from a whole seller...damn man we can't even spare crows...

Thora thora shok b hai n want to earn some bucks too. I rarely get free time due to studies n job. Pardon me but i failed to understand which sort of care they required other then feeding them? Aalam bhai exotic birds are reallly expensive n 200k is not too much

Bro my 1 cousin is doing it from 2years now and not earn a single penny, birds need alot of care in winters and summer u have to protect them from bad weather otherwise they die, and most of the times bird die without any reason and u lose money.

Dear All,

on a v serios note, I left the option of investment in islamic certificates, shares, prize bonds etc due to one reason or another (halal haram, sood etc)

Now with the name of Allah, I am starting this with an intial low investement and would keep it as time pass or hobby and if i would find potential and more interest by heart into thise field, Insha Allah i would keep expanding it
